This is a really busy place. We came in our first night here as it is open late. We enjoyed it so much we came back again.

The food is very pub like and good, the selection of beers is outstanding. Nice wines as well.

Service is very good and our waiter made suggestions of things to do and places to see, we took his advice and were not disappointed.

Thank McWett

Locations is great as its in Gastown, and there's parking nearby. The place is really nice with cool design, service a little slow or the waitress was a little distracted that day maybe. But we loved it. The beer soup was delicious.

The location is brilliant. So close to gastown and downtown, we went before we went across the road to the Vancouver Lookout. The food was really nice, I had a chilli and my partner had the half a chicken, it's no frills food but very enjoyable. We did have a bit of a wait for a table which was fine as it's such a busy area but then our table ended up being stools near a pool table which slightly disappointed us.

We were advised we would have to wait 20 mins for a table but it was only 5! The place was buzzing and staff were very helpful. Tried the multiple types of brew between us, they were tasters so only small glasses thank goodness as we would have had trouble getting back to the hotel.
The food was hot and delicious, the staff did not hurry us on so we had a really relaxing meal with the beers.

A friend was here on a 4 hour layover in Vancouver arriving from Toronto in route to Hawaii. Steamworks was the perfect choice, since for it is only 25 min each way by train between the downtown Waterfront and the airport. I came in on the Seabus from North Vancouver, so Perfect! It was pouring and although the restaurant was busy we were seated almost immediately. My friend wanted a wet lunch, with excellent food, since she is a Foodie, so this was perfect. She ordered the risotto and a salad, and a stein of their great beer. I ordered their excellent bowl of Seafood Chowder, with lots of salmon, halibut and clams and for my main the chicken wrap with fries. It was very busy, since a cruise ship was docked and the area was teeming with visitors. It was sometimes a challenge to flag our waitress who was run off her feet, but we were not rushed and service was friendly. We were able to have a leisurely lunch in a place with wonderful atmosphere. This was a high-end lunch but worth it and I would definitely return.
