Description: Chef Whittaker’s vision features dishes that are unpretentious and innovatively prepared using products sourced from local and organic farmers, fishers and producers whenever possible. These combine for a menu featuring snacks such as “crackling & popcorn”; a variety of creative “boards” and “irons” to share; tasty “plates” to nosh on together or enjoy solo as a main; and desserts for a sweet (and a bit savoury) finish.

This place opens early and is great for breakfast! Love the sustainable dining concept of this restaurant - the food is locally sourced and fresh, and these qualities come through in the taste of the food. The coffee was excellent as well. The jams/preserves that are served are also freshly made at the restaurant.

Loved this place for breakfast. The location was convenient, close parking, and the service was memorable. They had the best coffee of our entire stay. The food is locally sourced and very healthy. They are also open early, which works great if you have an early flight and are staying downtown.

I'm so glad we picked this restaurant for my Mums last night on her visit from the UK, I wanted it to be a special night and that's exactly what it was. From the minute we arrived our server was friendly, entertaining and not a bit pushy (he had every opportunity to get us to order more expensive wine and extra dishes but he didn't). We wanted Averill Creek wine as me and my husband have been there, but there was only sweet white or red, so our server (sorry, can't remember his name) helped us choose a local dry white (Okanagan Poplar Grove Pinot Gris) which was perfect.
We chose the gnocchi to share for starters, it's the best gnocchi any of us have had ever. My mum had the charcuterie and cheese which was just an work of art, it even had edible flowers! Me and my husband (both vegetarian) had 3 dishes from the soil; the foraged mushrooms were the favourite, with the caraway rye lifting the whole dish. Whittakers edible garden was another work of art, everything had to be admired before being devoured. The tomatoes prepared many ways were a lovely accompaniment. Me and mum managed to find room to share the delicious strawberry and angel food cake too and we all left stuffed and happy!
For 3 of us including a good tip we paid $200, pricey, but worth every cent.
There was not one thing on any plate that hadn't been carefully thought about...the preparation, the presentation, the taste. I will definitely be returning.

Local delicious and sustainable food. Service is amazing and always friendly. Cocktails are on point. Seems to be family owned or closely held as they take their quality standards very seriously. Could not recommend higher.
