This hotel is pretty nice for what you would typically picture of a Sandman property. The hotel is large, clean and modern. The shower head in our room is so good that hubby and I will be buying one to install in our washroom. We travelled as a family, which includes our Boston Terrier, and the hotel accommodates pets for $20/night. There is some noise transfer room to room, we can definitely hear the kids above us running around but our room is spacious. The cable is definitely not HD and some channels cut in and out. The hotel also has a fitness facility, swimming pool and hot tub. The aforementioned facilities are small but clean. Definitely one of the more modern hotels in the city and located at the intersection of the two highways through town. The hotel is also surrounded by a lot of amenities.

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us and the amenities at the hotel and surrounding area. We have had issues with our cable provider which is being worked on and will hopefully be resolved very soon. My apologies for this affecting your stay. I will try and get the model number of the shower head which you liked so much so you can purchase.
We hope to see you again on your next trip to PG.

Sincerely.
Glen

Stayed two nights here as part of a long Canadian road trip and was a bit nervous as our earlier stay at Sandman Kamloops had been disappointing. It seemed our fears were justified as on check in, they had no note of our reservation (Jonview had done these for us and I had the confirmation). Wasn't a problem and this was quickly and efficiently resolved by the check in staff and we ended up in an upgraded room (423 - a loft suite). We were impressed with all aspects of the room and the hotel and all the staff throughout were very pleasant. Had breakfast and evening drinks at the adjoining Rockford restaurant, which was fine (please see separate review). All in all a very satisfactory stay and whilst Prince George itself is a fairly featureless mid sized town it's the route you're just about forced to take if travelling between Banff and Prince Rupert on the north west BC coast. Recommended.

Junction of Hwy 16 and Hwy 97, easy in and out. Comfortable, clean rooms, quiet and an impressive lobby with helpful reception staff and a very good on-site restaurant. We stayed at this hotel 3 different nights over a 10-day period and were very satisfied. Note: the first floor allows pets. The hotel has a shopping centre very close by.

Room Tip: If you don't like to hear an unhappy puppy, ask for a room on any floor but the first floor.

Lovely, quiet hotel. Staff... from front desk to maintenance are a true delight.

Beds are perfect, linens clean, facilities immaculate.

Located close to shopping and lots of restaurants. Plenty of parking.

We decided to stay the night to break up a 12+ hour drive back to Vancouver with 2 young kids. We have stayed at other SS properties and were not disappointed with the size & cleanliness of our room. The pool felt like stepping into a lake (quite cold & even after 15 minutes we found it hard to acclimatize.) Other than that we found it extremely convenient that we could walk to many surrounding stores (Superstore was very handy for snacks for the kids.) We also dined at the in house restaurant which was fine with 2 kids on a Thursday evening. Overall, it was a great stay and we would stay here again.
