Everyone that worked there including the owner chef and his wife all took the time to chat with us. We felt so welcome. We even met the chefs mother who sat next to us- all very lovely people. OK people aside- this place is doing amazing things. The food was hands down the best on our weekend getaway. I personally consider this a fine dining establishment. The flavours were mouth watering at every bite. It is a MUST destination on your Penticton list of to do's. Be sure to make a reservation as it is only a 12 seat restaurant. I wanted to bring them home with us.

We chose the restaurant based upon TA reviews and we're glad we did. We reserved which is suggested since a few people were turned away. The menu items are quite varied with a selction of salads, cheese platters, pasta, seafood and meat. The items are meant to be shared. They were priced from $12-22. We weren't overly hungry so just ordred two items, duck confit and prawns provencal. The duck leg was perfectly cooked and served over lentils. The prawns were baked in a small casserole bowl with tomatoes and garlic and served with toasted French bread. The sauce was phenomenal and was great with the bread. There is a nice selection of mostly BC wine which is $9 per glass or $45 per bottle. This restaurant is fine dining in a casual friendly environment.

Tried to eat here as “walk ins” on Saturday evening, (silly us!) but we were turned away, the bistro full, so made a reservation for Tuesday.

The entire meal was a delight! We ordered three dishes, each of which was served alone, intended to be shared and savoured. And each of which had its own unique layering of flavours.

With a glass of local wine, we started with “mushrooms en croute”, actually “sur baguette”, so that the melange of wild and button mushrooms and their sauce could be soaked up. Yum!

The next dish was an arugula salad with fig & olive tapenade, peppered with the crunch of toasted buckwheat (sounds strange, but added a lovely crunch), spears of cucumber and local baby tomatoes—a unique and complementary blending of flavours.

The last dish was the pasta of the day, orecchiette, served perfectly al dente, with a lightly herbed sauce complemented by meaty chunks of smoky bacon. Sublime!

Sadly we were not able to convince the team to move the bistro to our home town, but we will be back next time we’re in Penticton.

Thanks for excellent service, a lovely pace for savouring, the local wine list and fantastic food.

We stopped by on a summer evening and had an absolutely perfect experience. The menu is designed with sharing plates so you get to try more tastes. We had mushrooms en croute and duck confit - both perfectly cooked and delicious with complex flavours and well-crafted sauces. Once we heard the desserts we couldn’t resist and they didn’t disappoint.

The patio is charming and the menu shifts with the seasons apparently so this is a place to revisit year round. The service is impeccable - not something you see often these days. It’s our new favourite date night spot!

12 seats inside 16 seats outside so make sure you have a reservation. All tables were occupied and the kitchen struggled to keep up.

Menu was tiny about 10 items total. Food was good. We will return.
