We were driving by on our way to some wineries and stopped by, its free, very nice mix of historical things showing the history of Kelowna. Well worth your time, thanks to all who take care of this as it would take some work, not sure why they can do it for free but we surely appreciated it !

We spent about 45 min. here. It's a nice stop if you have time and would like to fill it up but not a must see unless you don't have a lot a heritage sites under your belt already. We were visiting from Saskatchewan and pretty much every town in this Provence has similar artifacts so it seemed average. However if you aren't from an area were heritage sites and antiques populate most farm yards then this is a very well laid out site with great information and interesting write ups.

I drive by this place several times a week, but it took visitors from England to get me to stop. I was pleasantly surprised, first by the expanse of the site, and, second, by the limited focus on religion.
The buildings are not original to the mission but have been moved here or are recreations. However, they portray the period very well and the exhibits are good. Perhaps a bit more description of the outdoor farm and travel exhibits would help, and I am concerned that they may deteriorate over time if not better cared for.
What I particularly enjoyed was seeing names associated with streets and schools in Kelowna. I have a better feel for the history.
Take an hour and enjoy the mission.

Lovely walk through history.
Voluntary fee of $2 per person. Self guided tour, which was great, could read the text besides buildings and relieve the times.
Travel through time with the old time washers, sewing machines and horse carriages. The kids loved it and asked lots of questions.
Unbelievable log home on site, walk through if you visit.

Thank Vivian E
