The Royal Anne Hotel is in a great location, just two blocks from the water and steps away from tons of restaurants and shops. The exterior may look a bit worse for wear but the lobby was clean and modern. The front desk staff were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. Our room, for the most part, was fairly clean but for a few stray pet hair on the desk lamp and bedside table lamp. There was also a strong damp musk smell that came out of nowhere after our first night and got progressively worse with each day (thankfully we only stayed three nights). While the coffee pot and mugs were clean, the kettle could use a vinegar rinse - there was water left in the kettle when we checked in (from who knows when) and a lot of calcium buildup inside. The beds and pillows, on the other hand, were super comfortable.
Because of COVID-19, the complimentary continental breakfast was replaced with a "grab and go" breakfast which is understandable, but the selection was a disappointment. A granola bar, a yogurt, an apple or orange, and a juice box. You may want to consider replacing the granola bar with a packaged muffin or cinnamon bun, and mini cereal boxes (Kellogg's Fun Pak) for guests travelling with young children.
Fair warning, while the underground parking was very secure, it was also VERY limited on a first come first serve basis....The Royal Anne Hotel is in a great location, just two blocks from the water and steps away from tons of restaurants and shops. Fair warning, while the underground parking was very secure, it was also VERY limited on a first come first serve basis. The overflow lot in the alleyway behind the hotel is also very limited as it is shared with O'Flannigan's.More
