We were coming from Hope B.C. on Nov 7 and wished a lunch and saw Best Western Rainbow Country Hotel. It was 145pm and we walked in to the Atrium(garden) part and as no one sat us down we sat at a table. Saw two men moving tables(manager) but no waitress and thought the setting of a water fall, garden plants was a nice setting. Finally a waitress came and gave us menu's. We ordered drinks, which came in good time and ordered our late breakfast. The food coming felt like a longer wait then usual should be but finally came and very good portions. The waitress was also looking after customers in another area and appeared too busy. We did not get water drinks, did not get our cups refilled, did not get mustard ect. I finally got up and asked the manager for water, no cups either. He filled them, finally left the water pitcher on our table. We waited too long to get our coffee cups filled. I was told they had just served a very large group of business people and rearranging tables. The food was very good, but it felt the waitress had just too many customers and all over the place. We were the only two people seating in the garden area and I was wondering why. Waitress Amanda was very nice, and she apologized for the wait as looking after other people in the other side. The manager said goodbye to us. This restaurant did not have a warm feeling as Ricky's or other Country restaurants do. Portable card machine delivered to table. Menu choices okay, prices fair. Unknown if we will stop in again as from another city. happytravels.

A great atmosphere, good selection of food items and fast friendly service makes this a great place to go for a meal; whether with friends or on your own. Have eaten here several times and have not been disappointed yet.

This restaurant is located in the Atrium of the Best Western.
The "patio" is a great setting to dine in, with the sounds of running water, and lush vegetation surrounding you.

Getting to the restaurant itself is a bit of a maze, the entrance isn't clearly marked, and it is seat yourself though this is not posted.

We waited awhile before our server arrived, to the point of almost leaving, but after she took our drink order the service was excellent.

Our food came out in reasonable time, arrived hot and fresh, and a small mix up was resolved immediately.
The menu has a diverse selection that would accomodate most "picky groups", and the fare is similar to what you would find in most family restaurants.

There was live music "inside", and in my opinion, detracted from the overall experience for a number of reasons, but did not affect my rating.

Thank Peter P

Passing through on our way from Vancouver to kelowna. This place has certainly changed over the past few years, a lovely tropical atmosphere, friendly staff but the only thing I would say is a bit of a negative is that the menu is a little limited.

Have you heard of how terrible Truck stop Food is... Well I am a retired Truck Driver and this Restaurant takes horrible food to the next level. It is so sad as it used to be a really good place to eat... Heck even MooYa's down the street is better than this place.
Here are what we ordered and what was wrong...
Calamari - came with no Tzatzaki Sauce... Was cold and mushy and came after the main course was served
Chicken Wings - how could u mess up chicken wings... Well theses guys did it. Frozen pieces of chicken like stuff deep fried then a little tiny bit of sauce on them (asked for Teriyaki)
Main Course:
Breaded Veal on a whole wheat bun w/ bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato - sounded kinda cool.. Ugg, what a soggy, mushy, ill tasting garbage
Beef Dip - we were not sure that it really was beef... Could have been rat and a pretty old and decreped one at that... Oh.. And what about the dip... It was specially ordered after the meal came (and before the appetizers) and was like a semi warm old dish water... Yuck...
And just think of what the Service was like... And then there was this guy running around saying he was the manager... Of what... The bathroom!!!
I kinda think that the staff just didn't give a damn... All they were pushing was the Buffet.. For $14.99 a person... Perogies, sausage, soup... That's it... Woohoo...
Thank goodness their are places like Mr.Mikes, The White Spot, Bozzini's and other really decent eateries close by.
