We stayed at the White Brick Inn in late November of 2011 and it was such a nice experience for us. We've been driving around Alberta to different cities and national parks, this is probably one of the nicest place that we've stayed at in Alberta so far. And the difference is that this is the landlord's basement and not like other typical hotels that we've stayed at. I was kind of worried at first because we barely had any B&B accommodations experience back home , so I was not expecting too much out of it, but looking at the pictures online, it looked pretty legit. After booking the reservation with John (the landlord) through email, we picked the keys when we got there from the nice lady at the photoshop that John had already left for us. She was very friendly like everyone else in Jasper, showing us the map of the area and where to go. And apparently, from the main street we were on to the house was only about a 5 min drive or less. After we got to the house, we were so amazed how nice this place was. It's a basement but it was well furnished and looks just like an ikea showroom with everything that you need! Everything that you get in a hotel room is there, plus the kitchen that has all kinds of equipment and utensils, from cutting board and refrigerator to even an oven, microwave, pots and pans, and a Tassimo and bunch of seasonings! We took advantage of the kitchen and cooked almost every meal there. The place was a tad small but good enough for 2 ppl. Everything was very clean, all the things (tv, appliances, shower, heater), worked very well, didn't have any problems with anything. And of course, we enjoyed our stay here because the other owner of the house Mike was very friendly and suggested routes for us to go on to take good shots of wild animals, and Elsie the dog greeted us everytime she sees us. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Jasper!

My husband and I recently stayed at the White Brick Inn in December as part of our Honeymoon. I cannot recommend this place enough, it has everything you could need including a full kitchen and great rainwater shower head. The owner John makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive into town and is only too happy to offer recommendations on places to eat and things to do. We were also given a bottle of wine and chocolates as a gift for our honeymoon which made our stay feel special. The accommodation is very clean and modern and great value for money. The location is right near everything in town. Staying here was very homely and was a great place to relax after a day in the snow. I will definately recommend the White Brick Inn to any friends i have visiting the Jasper area. Dont hesitate in booking the White Brick Inn, you wont regret it.

My wife and I recently did a return train trip Vancouver to Jasper on Via Rail's "The Canadian" (in itself a fantastic trip). We chose to make the trip with only a single night stopover in Jasper as we have been there before and it being mid November, the weather is a bit iffy for outdoor activities - potentially too late for hiking and too early for skiing. As it turned out the weather was spectacular, but cold, -19C when we arrived and -25C the next morning, but with no wind so we still managed to get in a wonderful hike on local trails before boarding the train for our return trip.

The Inn was all we expected and more. Everything has been recently updated and the furnishings in all rooms, kitchen / living room, bedroom and bathroom, were comfortable, clean and the location quiet (although quiet applies to pretty well all of Jasper). As it was so cold (we are from Vancouver Island so the temp was a real shock to our systems), we elected to eat in the night of our arrival. The kitchen is well equipped, much better than most places we have stayed and we could have prepared and cooked almost anything we wanted. Even with the cold, the heating system, which has an automatic set back programmed, was more than up to the task.

While perfect for our short stay, the Inn would make a great place for a multi night stay. You could be as self contained as you wanted. Highly recommended!

When planning an overnight stay in Jasper we went looking for a B&B. What we discovered was there were no traditional B&B's in Jasper. Instead we found the White Brick Inn with its beautifully renovated basement suite. We were delighted to find it was even better than it looked in its photos....something right out of a TV reno show. The decor was beautiful, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower devine with its rainfall head. John was very courteous and gave us great advice on places for dinner and breakfast. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Jasper.

We've booked a place at the white brick inn but were unable to arrive for check-in due to a medical emergency. Not only was John understanding and although we asked to delay the booking by one day and cancelled it altogether eventually, he refused to charge Any cancellation fees - what a great guy! We'll definitely book a place at the white brick inn the next time we're in Jasper...
