Description: Normand's is a cozy little bistro, with a relaxed atmosphere. Each day you can look forward to new lunch features including soup, sandwiches and seafood. The dinner menu has a wide variety. Each day we offer at least one wild game dish. The exquisite preparation of each dish in a savory sauce is what makes each meal a special treat. Normand's: where the menu is country French with an Alberta accent. We are well known for our wild game menu which is offered in October and November as is customary in France. We have wild Arctic Muskox, Rankin Inlet Caribou, Elk, Wild Boar and Fish such as Arctic Char. We create a super dish of braised Alberta Boar Shanks with roasted red peppers, honey, whiskey and black peppercorn. Are you planning a special event? We cater for weddings, private parties, business dinners, anniversaries, birthdays and B.B.Q.'s. We've done many in-house special functions, all of them are tailor-made to your specifications.

We had reservations but were running late. Called the restaurant, no issues when we arrived. Parking available at side and back of restaurant. Service excellent, not rushed. Food always good and great selection of unique dishes. Totally enjoyable experience.

Normand has created a formula that really works and accounts for almost 30 years of success in a challenging business. His presentation of steaks, chops and game always pleases. Traditional with contemporary accents, excellent service and a good wine list. Always a great evening and, for early risers, breakfast too!

Normand's has excellent French dishes, including many wild game options. The combination of great food and atmosphere make for an enjoyable night out.
We love their Roast Duck - it is served in a pot, smothered with their cranberry and wine sauce. The Roast Duck is too much for one person to eat, but my suggestion is to order this to share with your partner, or plan to take leftovers home.

Before I retired this was one of my "go to" places to take clients because I could always count on a great meal and wonderful service. Nowadays we enjoy their weekend brunches and lunches and special dinners. Their menu is quite diverse and every dish we've tried has always met and exceeded our expectations. Normand's has been around for a long time and the room is particulary cozy in the winter time. It is a refreshing change from the franchise formula that is everywhere in our city. The service is excellent and the owner is always in attendance.

I had not been to Normand's for quite some time however they have certainly maintained their reputation for a fine dining choice. I had the seafood mornay. Scallops, prawns and lobster in a creamy sauce. My dining companions had the bison rib eye, duck and wild boar/elk combination. Portions were generous. Our server was top notch...attentive but not hovering.
All in all a very enjoyable experience. We will be bvack
