Normands has been around a long time and at one stage was only open for dinner. I've eaten there many times and always enjoyed the food. But since its sister restaurant, the Glenora Grill, closed due to redevelopment, Normands has also taken over its lunch and brunch menus. My first experience of brunch there was very good indeed. It has an interesting menu:four different types of eggs benedict, plus one with king crab; bagels; oatmeal; breakfast sandwiches; omelets, etc., etc. I had the scrambled eggs with lox, which is accompanied by pan fried potatoes, toast and a fruit bowl. The lox and eggs were absolutely delicious. The pan fries were among the best I've ever had; and the fruit bowl was piled high and accompanied with a delicious sauce. At $13.50 it's not the cheapest scrambled eggs out there - but it's also one of the best. No free grease clogging my veins. Service was excellent - but it always has been at any of my visits to the restaurant. Some of the servers have been with Normands for many years. They're mature adults who are professionals who know everything about the food they serve Highly recommended!
