There are so many parks and ravines in Edmonton. Mill Creek Ravine Park just outside downtown is... read more
My mother in-law and I met my brother who lives in Edmonton here for a walk as he suggested. We are from Calgary/Okotoks. It had just snowed the day before a lot yet the pathways were already cleared of snow(on the paved path). My brother likes to mountain bike here. We walked on the paved and non-paved trail. It was very picturesque and peaceful. You don't even feel like you're in a big city. It was nice to see an Offleash section for dogs. We walked through there and met some nice, well behaved dogs. There was also a good number of trash bins for garbage and dog poop which was nice. Some graffiti on a tree and on structures, but it is in a city so whatever. We were very impressed by this park!
the river valleys in edmonton city and the area around it are so beautiful. it is actually quite cool that they build a city right across these parks and managed to preserve them. the mill creek ravine is nice, right in the city, but still you cant tell you are not in the wilderness.
I really love to ride the river valley with my family and friends, and walk it too. The Millcreek Ravine is part of the awesome parks system Edmonton has to offer and allows you to escape the concrete jungle. Pack a picnic and hit the road... trail!
beautiful and scenic trials through the ravine. some are paved and some are not so you can choose what you like. Small bridges and crossings so you have a variety of ways to go.
I love the off leash areas in Mill Creek Ravine for letting my dog roam. We both enjoy the many bridges, stream and walking trails. Beautiful leaves, berries and wildflowers. A few sketchy areas around Mill Creek Pool (have seen a few homeless camps there sometimes) but usually other walkers on the path so have never had any problems!
One of the big photo stops in Edmonton. This park is partially treed. Tons of natural area and paths that are well groomed and maintained. A touch of muskeg-like ponds that add an incredible beauty to a camera.
