“Amazing! Watching Chef Connie and team work together was like watching a beautifully chereographed dance piece in a kitchen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2012

I made reservations at Charcut and notified them of my food allergies. I was impressed that when I arrived they were prepared for me and my allergies and were willing to accommodate me ( which many restaurants were not interested in doing to the standard that charcut did ). I enjoyed every bite of meal. The service was exceptional. The prices were great. I also enjoyed watching the kitchen it was impressive to watch the flow. It completed the atmosphere.

“New Years Eve”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2012

A wonderful place to spend New Years Eve. We started in the Charcut restaurant in the hotel with a fantastic 5 course dinner, followed by dancing and drinks in the lounge, ending the evening in a woderful room with a fantastic rainfall shower. New Years Day started with a nice continerntal breakfast in the breakfast room then it was time to get back to reality. What a nice way to end one year and begin the next.

“Near perfect Lunch spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 December 2011

This restaurant is located downtown which makes it a great lunch place. It is the right size (no massive lineups) and serves the right size meals. They have a neat lunch deal that is soup and sandwich and a tiny bag of cookies that you can take with you (you will be full). They have a bar and an assortment of eating areas and the kitchen is open to watch your food being prepared.

“The food was exceptional”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 December 2011

This is a great choice in downtown Calgary. Very contemporary but not unpleasant decore. The menu choices are somewhat "eclectic" but the mains we ordered (pasta and roast beef) were exceptional. The server was professional and attenntive. Great selection of wines and beers. Will go again.

“Waited too long and left hungry”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2011

We had a reservation for 8pm on a Wednesday night and waited more than 30 minutes to be seated. Most disappointing was that not one person (hostess, server, or manager) acknowledged that by apologizing for the delay. Being our first time at the restaurant, we followed our server's suggestion and ate European style, where we shared a number of selections. At her recommendation, we ordered three sides and two entrees, which was NOT enough food for our group of three. (She actually stopped us from ordering more, "I just hate clearing away plates of food at the end of the meal".) The fact that we were still hungry at the end of our meal outweighed the tastiness of the food.
