Kensington Riverside Inn won our hearts in the first few hours of our stay. Superb welcome and check-in experience, tasteful and well-appointed room with a charming outdoor patio, comfortable and artistically beautiful lounge, and a world class restaurant. All of that plus the riverside location with walkable trails and neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel near Calgary night life but easy access to airport. Rooms have beautiful finishes but need better maintenance checks for little things. Battery needed to be changed in temperature control. Magnifying mirror needed screw tightened. Flushing toilet made tub gurgle. Clock set to wrong time.

The service is the most outstanding feature of the Kensington Riverside Inn. From arrival where we were greeted with cold bottled water after a long travel day to checkout where they had coffee ready in the wee hours of the morning for our early departure. Every morning there was coffee outside our room with a daily newspaper.

The Chef's Table restaurant had excellent service for either breakfast or dinner. The quality of food was very good and attention to detail was evident for meal preparation and presentation. We noticed them ironing the white linen tablecloths at the tables before opening the doors for dinner to add to the crisp and clean look of the restaurant.

The one downfall was our room that was situated on the back alley side of the inn. It was a poor view of a cement like patio wall and hydro wires. The French doors opened to this small patio but remained closed due to the back alley noises and the wafting of cigarette smoke from below. I'm sure there are far nicer rooms to choose from. I recommend upgrading to ensure you get one.

The inn is close to the trendy Kensington area of Calgary where you can find restaurants, shops and a wine market all within walking distance. The wine market had a wine tasting that we quite enjoyed.

There is a nice walkway along the river and into downtown. You can either walk it or use one of the inn's bicycle.

I would recommend this inn if you want to be within walking distance of downtown or Kensington Village. There is a parking garage under the inn which is helpful since parking in the area is a challenge.

Overall, service was excellent, the room not so much. Be careful what room you choose. I would recommend this trendy boutique inn based on service and location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a patio on the ground floor or a true balcony at the front. Request not to be on the alley side of the inn.

Good afternoon. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback regarding your recent stay, and for providing us with some great comments for future travelers. I am happy to hear that you had an enjoyable stay, and were provided with memorable service. Our team takes great pride in providing genuine service to all our guest at the Inn whether they are just in for dinner or staying overnight.
It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy the room that was booked for your stay. Being a 19 room property all of our rooms are slightly different in terms of size and configuration. Since you had a longer-term stay at our Inn we provided you with the most spacious of our Luxury King rooms, in order to provide more comfort for your stay, but I recognize that this room does not provide much of a view. I have added to you reservation profile that in the future you would prefer to have a lower floor room, with a view. We hope to welcome you back again soon, in a room more suited to you preferences.

Kensington Riverside Inn - was Super nice. It was very fancy inside. One of the best hotels we stayed in for last several years. Rooms are specious. Has fire place. View of the garden was nice too. I can only imagince how the city and bow river view was. Overall great experice. Location being close to Kensinton and across from downtown helps a lot.
