If you are accustomed, and expect nothing less, than five star hotels, valets and room service then this isn't the place for you.
From the moment we arrived are were greeted by a perky reception desk and a strange, life-sized old timer 'doll' in a rocking chair I kind of fell in love with the place already. I felt I was in a David Lynch film if David Lynch did comedy.
Once we were in our cabin though it was bliss - warm, welcoming and, even though there are other guests and cabins nearby, we felt very much as though we were alone (in a good way).
The room has little kitchenettes to self cater and the complimentary snacks were a welcome addition after a full days walking.
Location wise, it's in between 'town' and the Lake - so, ideal!
Really lovely little spot that we thoroughly enjoyed - would highly recommend for couples and its easy to imagine that, during winter in the snow, it must be magical.More
