For a busy hostel everything seemed well taken care of. We rented a private room as a couple and did not have any noise or cleanliness issues which are generally the two concerns I have in a hostel. The kitchen was clean, parking was free, guest services was helpful. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this hostel but it did not "wow!" me to get 5 stars.

Stayed in the 6-bed dorm room. Storage in the room was limited since other roommates took over the storage area. I stayed there for a few nights and didn’t unpack much, so it was not an issue. But it would be if I were to stay longer. Also, the room was small for 6 people staying in it. It’d be comfortable for 4.

There’s 2 showers in the bathroom, and it was never crowded even at night. In fact, I rarely saw anyone in the bathroom during my stay. They clean pretty well too!!!

Friendly front desk staff, clean facility, onsite bar, fluffy towels.

I’d definitely stay there again!

This hostel is basically what you would expect from a decent hostel: clean, well-located, friendly staff, WiFi. They also had a restaurant which served good food at a reasonable price. They gave me a free bus pass to get around town, which I thought was a nice touch.

My biggest complaint is the noise, which is a normal part of the hostel experience, but I had a private room and still found the place to be too noisy. There is a rule about quiet hours, but the kind of guests who stay here are not totally respectful of the rule. Any talking in the hallways echoes all the way down the hall. When the doors close, they make a slamming noise. When people walk, it sounds like there are some elephants staying at the hostel.

Overall, it seems like a great place to stay if you are are young and like to stay up all night and are still able to ski/snowboard the next day. The atmosphere seemed right for those kind of people. Personally, it wasn't for me.

I loved this hostel! Clean, welcoming and super comfy.
The staff are great! Especially Misty and Jimmy!
Rooms are super comfy and clean also super safe. The kitchen’s are well equipped, bathrooms are great and have hair driers that actually dry your hair in a reasonable time.
The bar is great. Super sociable hostel with great services. Very reasonable price for what you get. Bus pass is a great addition to the price you pay when paying for the “job seekers”.
Will recommend to any traveller for any time of year.
Thanks guys!!

Stayed here for three nights after a fortnight at one of Banff's top options. Despite the downshift, if you will, it wasn't too bad an option. But it has some issues. The property is a bit long in the tooth and needs upgrading. Considering it's a hostel it's very overpriced even by hostelling standards. Must be among the most expensive hostels anywhere, probably on account of touristy Banff. Beds are comfortable but sheets could be better cleaned. Toilets are OK though washrooms/bathrooms need upgrading and better cleaning. It's located a stiff walk away from the main part of town but is easily accessible by bus or car. Parking is outside in a common lot. The café inside is decent but again a bit pricey. A large communal kitchen (with several refrigerators) below is a plus. Lots of people were merrily cooking away there so get in early if you want your supper early. The front desk is efficient, handles most queries but didn't find them the friendliest lot. Seemed like volunteers of some sort so maybe they lacked the usual training. It's a decent option in Banff but might be a good idea to see if a better deal is possible elsewhere first
