Private cabins seemed to be very good at this time of year. They include two double beds with a sofa seating area, TV and electric fire. The private bathroom has a shower.
The hostel is in a good location, outside of Banff itself but nice and quiet. We didn't try the bar and restaurant while staying but they sounded good and nice to have options nearby. There are great views a short walk away through the nearby campsite. At this time of year there were only a handful of RVs there, but I can imagine in the summer it would be much busier in the area as the site is large. A free bus pass is available ($5 deposit) which makes getting into Banff easy without a car or if drinking.More
