Had a taste test at the local markets by a lovely lady who told us where the pub was situated and encouraged us to head up for a drink.
After a big day doing our tourist stuff we decided to check it out.
Upon arrival we could see it wasn’t that busy but waited for service. When no-one came, we went to the bar to get a drink and was told to get a seat and someone will come serve us. We said no problems and told him we would sit outside on the balcony.
View looks over the main street of Banff which is great for people watching.
We waited 5 or more minutes and still no one came to give us menus. Went back inside to the bar just to see if we could order a couple of beers and was told by the same guy we would have to wait for table service and asked where we were sitting. Again, said we were sitting outside. Waited another 5 minutes and finally a staff member comes out to ask what we want, to our reply that we haven’t even seen a menu!!
Anyways...finally order some beers and a snack.
It was ok but the service put a damper on the experience.
