Upon checking in we were upgraded from a One Bedroom Condo to a Two Bedroom Jacuzzi Condo - so thank you to the wonderful staff for that!

The hotel is secluded but still very close to town, so it was the best of both worlds. The room itself was really nice. Some parts of it were dated, but the bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen all seemed modern and it was overall very clean so the dated things were just some added charm.

The view from the balcony was beautiful and I loved the smell of the wood fires from around the hotel. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows from our own fireplace. We brought our own items to make s'mores, but we learned that they sell s'more kits right at the front desk. There is a DVD player in the living area which was nice because the Mister and I are big on movies, but not so big on cable television. So if you like movies or have kids, bring some along! We ended our days by relaxing in the Jacuzzi.

The sounds of trains were comforting to us, but should you tire of them then you can dial a special number on their phone and listen to an elk bugle instead - a neat little touch. They also provide passes for the bus to downtown Banff and bike rentals (either by the hour or by the day). They thought of everything!

We would absolutely stay here again!

Kristen N, thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Hidden Ridge Resort and your photos.

All of our rooms have wood burning fireplaces, and often times that's what you smell in the air; like you I enjoy that, I find it pleasant and relaxing. Thank you for touching on the DVD players in the rooms and the sounds of the train throughout the Bow Valley, and of course the Elk Bugle line - that gave me a chuckle.

We hope we are able to welcome you back on your next trip to the Banff area.

The room was clean but the Sheetrock was coming off. The whole compound needs a remodel! The staff was friendly, the rooms are spacious and have great potential they just desperately need a total remodel

168oscar, thank you for bringing up your concerns. With spring in the air, we are in the process of adding to the aura of the whole compound. Our gardens have been re-mulched and our flowers are arriving on site soon. We are all excited about this.

We hope we are able to welcome you back in your future stays to Banff.

Rooms were pricey but very nice place to stay! Outdoor pools have a very nice view and the pools themselves are really nice just wish they were open a little later at night say open till 11 would be ideal. Overall really nice place and I enjoyed my stay thoroughly! Very nice staff as well.

dannyw70, thank you for your time to right a review. With the summer sun setting so late, it is remaining light much later. When we close the pool at 10pm and the sun is still shining, it definitely seems like it may be too early to close. We will look at extending the hours of the pools during the summer months; I am not guaranteeing we can but we will explore the idea.

We hope we are able to welcome you back in your next visit to Banff.

Our room smelt HORRIBLE of campfire, if I wanted to camp I would have brought my trailer... Two burners on our stove didn't work, fridge was so small, no room to store any food and my neighbor liked to sun bath naked outside so I couldn't use our deck... Not happy at all.

Room Tip: Wouldn't book here again

Michelle L, I'm sorry to read you didn't enjoy your stay with us. The front desk staff are very adept at finding a resolutions for guests that aren't satisfied with a service we provide. We certainly don't condone nude sunbathing and would have been happy to address this for you.

We hope you'll give us another chance to exceed your expectations in the future.

This was our third visit to this hotel in the past four years - each time was to attend a dance festival. The staff are fantastic - friendly and accommodating. Great location, beautiful view and comfortable rooms. Excellent choice for a family or group of friends.
