Owner description: Soar to the top of Sulphur Mountain to experience a stunning bird's-eye view of six incredible mountain ranges. With breathtaking vistas in every direction, your adventure begins with an eight-minute journey to the summit of Sulphur Mountain in a modern, fully enclosed four-passenger gondola cabin. Glide up over the treetops to the crest of a steep-sided Rocky Mountain peak and step out into a jaw-dropping mountaintop experience at an elevation of 2,281 metres (7,486 feet). Stroll along the ridgetop boardwalk where the views get better with every step. Then warm up in our newly transformed, state-of-the-art summit facility. With new restaurants, interactive interpretive exhibits, a multi-sensory theatre and a breathtaking 360-degree rooftop observation deck, the new Banff Gondola summit heightens every sense.

“Spectacular views...”

Sulphur Mountain Gondola is one attraction you cannot miss while in Banff. The views are awesome! Go before 11 am, to avoid longer line-ups. There is a cafeteria at the top, so you can have a bite to eat as well.

“Spectacular views of Banff town and the surrounding mountains”
Reviewed 29 February 2012

If you are going in winter try to go on a fine day and early so you are there just when the sun is cumming up. The view to the Banff Springs hotel and the rockies was worth the ride.

“Great Experience!”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

Go on a nice clear and sunny day and the less wind the better. Perfect way to spend an afternoon and great photo opportunities. Beware if your not a person who likes heights although I am not fond of them and I could handle it!

“Simply a beautiful view from there”

Be sure to go on a clear day. The day we were there it actually snowed. There were mountain goats just of the walk way. You Could almost touch them.
