When we arrived at the airport, we did as we were instructed to do and had no issues. The Grand Luxxe is a paradise. Accommodation, quality and choices of food, and service is truly a 5 diamond. Our room was always clean and fresh. The kitchen and La Mercado really complimented our vacation. We really enjoyed the amenities in our room and the whole resort. Complimentary coffee and tea was always ready every morning by the elevator lobby.
Our concierge on tower 2-5th floor-Lilia Orozco assisted us with all our needs from booking us for the spa on short notice, to our laundry, our excursions, and many more. She made our vacation very special and very relaxing. I would recommend all the restaurants in Vidanta for all of them had amazing service and fresh ingredients. (Don't forget to try the Mexican pizza) Shows, food, and service at Santuarium was excellent. I would like to mention Itzel at Santuarium, Fernanda at Tower 2 lobby, William at the taco place at La Mercado, and Argelia Espinoza at the Spatium, who were all very friendly and gave us nothing but their best. These people made our family vacation so unforgettable.
I love the beach with so many exclusive lounge chairs. The pools (there's so many to mention) are all exceptional with ample lounge chairs and great towel service.
The location of Vidanta Grand Luxxe is so close to wherever you want to go-Airport, Puerto Vallarta tours, Rhythm of the Night show, huge supermarket Mega, Walmart, Bucerias. I love our overall experience at the Grand Luxxe and would definitely look forward to spend, not one, but two weeks at this beautiful and top notch resort and would recommend it to friends everyone.

For Grand Luxxe members, there is wonderful luxury and impeccable service. The units are extremely upscale, spacious and always immaculate. Each floor has a top notch Concierge who will attend to any needs and conversation. Amazing place to stay in Mexico. The service is superb and the rooms are amazing. We love visiting here a couple times a year. Everyone we bring with us loves the amenities and the villa. The food is always first class and the entertainment.

I was here for a full week to ring in my 60th birthday on a solo trip. Two individuals stood out for their excellent service. My floor concierge, Alex (Grand Luxxe, tower 4, first floor) sprang a surprise on me and decorated my room on my birthday. He also had a small cheesecake waiting for me. In the Tramonto restaurant that evening, my waiter, Israel, brought out a nice dinner plate with a small dessert that was nicely decorated. I enjoyed very attentive service.

The entire Vidanta property is huge, so be prepared to do a lot of walking unless you decide to take the trams that are provided. There are 22 restaurants on the property, and seemingly about as many pools.

Many reviews here have correctly judged this resort as top notch when it comes to the quality of the rooms, restaurants, and service. I agree with them. However, there are other factors that come into play when considering this resort for your vacation. All things considered, I give this resort 3 stars. Here is summary of some really negative things about this resort.

1. The quality of the ocean water is terrible. It’s is muddy brown and probably polluted. On the south side of the resort is the Ameca River. This is a pretty major 100 mile long river, and every Mexican town upstream dumps its sewage into it. It’s water quality is very unsafe, very muddy, and very brown, and it exits into the ocean right at the Grand Luxxe. I wouldn’t swim in the ocean here, and it looks very uninviting. This begs the question, Why go on a beach vacation at a place where the ocean looks like a mud pond?
2. The resort is WAY too big for its own good. To get anywhere required waiting for and riding trams, some times multiple trams. Sure, you can walk a half mile every day to eat breakfast (and who wants to do that on vacation?), or you can walk to your unit lobby, wait 5 minutes for a tram, ride it to the “plaza”, get off and wait another 5 minutes for a connecting tram, and the ride it to your restaurant. Such a pain. It really gets old. It is quite the odyssey to do this routine over to the Grand Mayan, only to find out (every time) that there is not a single open chaise in the entire pool area.
3. While you are walking (and walking) throughout the resort, it became kind of disgusting all the smells of sewage while you are walking through the beautifully landscaped paths. I don’t want to smell sewage on vacation. I kept wondering if the resort was simply piping the effluent of all the toilets onto the landscaping. I guess it’s better than putting it in the river.
