Lovely room with towel animals and fluffy pillows, AC and hot water. Free coffee in the morning and filtered water all day. Clean pool, right across the street from the beach and restaurants. WiFi a little spotty. Lovely lush tropical plants. Recommend

We stayed 6 nights at this marvellous little hotel in Puerto Angel. The owner Maria Eugenia and all the staff were very, I insist, very nice and helpful. Its impeccably clean everywhere on site (pool, entrance, lobby and rooms). Its directly in the center of Playa Panteon which is an area just a bit outside of the main town and main beach. this area is really small so you can walk within seconds to the beach restaurants across the street and to the beach itself. Playa Panteon is a small beach, very Mexican, pretty calm as the waves are much less powerful than in the surrounding region (Zipolite and Mazunte for example) so its perfect for families with young children. the hotel has a small pool, very refreshing and surrounded by beautiful flowers. I would recommend it to any friend and traveller who likes comfort and quiet places. this is not a luxury hotel nor a luxury beach/destination. If you are used to travel to the real Mexico, you will know that its totally normal to hear some dogs and cocks at 3 in the morning! ;)
At the hotel itself though, you shouldn't hear young backpackers partying because its not that type of place. Its more of a grown up or a family place.

Room tip: Maybe ask for the rooms not directly over the street

My family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights over Thanksgiving. We booked another location, and then changed at the last minute due to a friend's recommendation. Excellent choice.

We had a room with 3 beds with a water view. Nothing fancy, but cozy enough. Air and fans worked well. Room had a balcony that overlooked "town." Slept like a baby.

Staff was great & very helpful. Fresh coffee and filtered bottled water in lobby.

Location is steps from the sand. About as close to beachfront without being on the beach.

Overall, I give this property an A. It's not fancy, and it's not low-end. It perfectly suited us and what we wanted - cozy, friendly, and close to water. Will not hesitate in going back.

A simple and very charming hotel above the Playa Panteon. Very low-key, immaculately clean, very kind and helpful staff. This is a nice place for a relaxing stay. Very reasonable rates, a good shower. Nice beach for a walk in the sand or on the rocks. Several casual beach restaurants nearby.

Room tip: My west-facing room was a little warm. You might try an interior room

In general our experience was very good, I went in a trip with my family that includes 2 kids , the room clean, air condition working well, good attention and very important very close to the beach that has calm wáter for kids to swim .We had dinner in the hotel in the roof and they cook very well. So I recommend this option even its not in the main known Ports as Huatulco or Puerto Escondido. For family very, very good and prices excellent.

Room tip: I was in the first floor so for my kids was wonderful, in order to be close to the swimming pool.
