Upon arrival, we were ‘informed’ that due to refurbishment works our room was unavailable and we were transferred to a sister hotel - why weren’t we informed beforehand? It seemed like a deliberate overbooking and attempt to fill their sister establishment as all breakfast tables at the main hotel were busy in the morning.
We were sent to a satellite Away from the main hotel and unattended so for anything you need to walk backwards and forwards
Noisy - we could hear everything outside our door and above our room
Terrible bed - worst springs I have seen in years! The hotel needs to access bcse fin new mattresses.
Tiny smelly bathroom with mouldy ceilings and slow draining shower.
Bright corridor lights and flimsy curtains so it was very bright in the room - must invest in curtains.
No power - there was only one socket in our bedroom and it didn’t work so we couldn’t charge our phones or use the bedside lamp.
Finally, we are not certain what it was but we both had bites in our ankles and legs - we didn’t see any mosquitoes anywhere else. Just hope it wasn’t fleas or bedbugs.
Luckily it was only for one night.More
