Not much to say other than probably the best Sunday roast I have ever had! Large generous Yorkshire pudding, several slices of melt in the mouth roast beef, roast potatoes light and fluffy but perfectly roasted possibly in goose fat. Even provided more gravy/jus when asked. The table was located in a lounge with a lovely burning wood stove and the service was first class, will go back time and time again if it remains so good.

Visiting whilst in the area for my partners birthday. Had a lovely evening from start to finish. A very warm welcome. Pleasant service throughout, nothing was too much trouble. Me and my partner both had 3 courses, all of which were superb. Highly recommend this establishment. We didn't know quite what to expect, from the outside it just looked like a typical pub, however on the inside it's beautiful, clean and modern. A very sophisticated evening. We was expecting a 10% service charge on the bill (which was stated in the menu) which we wasn't charged for. However we were more than happy to voluntarily tip more. We will return. Thank you xx

Called on a Thursday . Booked a particular dining table which we weren't shown to when we arrived . They did eventually seat us there. We ordered exactly what we had ordered a few weeks ago on a Friday night . The difference in flavour and presentation was dramatic . I can only think the midweek chefs are not the same quality as the weekend chefs. As it is fairly expensive we will return but only at a weekend.

Gorgeous setting & food - lovely seating area out in the front to sip coffee in the sun. We took our mum for Mothering Sunday lunch & we were not disappointed! We had lovely pumpkin soup for starter, the best roast beef dinner with a fantastic homemade yorkshire pudding & for dessert, we had banana soufle & lemon tart with damson sorbet! The staff were extremley welcoming! Definately recommend.

We have eaten at most of the decent restaurants in the South Lakes area and this is consistently the best. We always go here for special occasions and just as a treat. The food is always excellent (the starter of stornaway black pudding, quails egg, bubble and squeak is my personal favourite). The service is always with a smile and a friendly comment. Highly recommended.
