We stayed here for 2 weeks. When we arrived we were greeted and shown to the apartment. Throughout our stay the communication was very good, so whenever there was an issue it was dealt with straight away.
The view from the kitchen doors is stunning and we took many photos. The pool is great, really clean and well cared for and the man in charge of the pool was very helpful. When we saw the pool we were a bit concerned as there are many properties in the village and it isn't huge. However it never got crowded so it was perfect. Be aware that you need a car if you stay here.
The village is a gated complex in a small town called Nebida. Nebida isn't a particularly attractive place so we didn't really fancy eating out there, probably also because we had a car. The local shops sell basics (very good bread) but you need a car to go to a supermarket. There is a take away pizzeria in Nebida opposite the road to the village which isn't anything to look at from the outside but basically consists of a huge pizza oven and one table outside! However the pizzas are to die for so we had many of those and they were so cheap!
We visited many beaches, you definitely need a car if you stay here as the local 'beach' is not really a beach and quite a treacherous walk down a mountain side. There is a lovely beach we visited just a few kilometres away called Cala Domestica. It is stunning and has a lovely cafe there.
Another of our favourite beaches was Maimoni Beach near Oristano. Gorgeous white sand and fantastic, huge waves, the children didn't come out of the sea for the whole day! Oristano is worth a trip too. We visited Pula (lovely) and went to the market there which is open once a week I think. We also visited Chia, Su Giudeu beach. It was nice but we didn't personally think it was as stunning as the reviews made out. Punta beach in Gonnesa is lovely too and not too far away. Two of the highlights were a trip to a fish/seafood restaurant called La Vecchia Tonnara in Portoscuso. The fish and seafood were divine. We had the fish platter and it was enormous and delicious. Strongly recommend going there. Another highlight was a boat trip we went on. The man was recommended by the owners, he is called Gabriele and we started the trip from Gonnesa which is just down the road from Nebida. He took us to the stunning caves nearby and saw some old mines and of course snorkelled and swam in the beautiful waters around the Nebida coast. It was fantastic and he charged us 30 Euros per person for a 3 hour trip. (We were out for longer than that in the end) Gonnesa is the place to hire boats from- boat hire doesn't seem to be advertised so we were glad to find this place.
One more thing to be aware of is the wifi is limited to 2GB a day, which isn't a lot. It is worth knowing beforehand so you can store up personal mobile data to use. We made sure our children had lots of books to read! Overall, a great holiday.
We had a great vacation in Nebid.
The house was in order, clean, tastefully decorated and equipped with all the comforts. Exactly as described in the ad.
The house is located in a private area with private swimming pool and overhanging the sea.
The location is unique, the sea view you enjoy from the house is stunning.
Images do not make the idea, it is definitely higher than expectations.
Thanks to the owners, precise and timely in communication.
We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this solution.
