We were so lucky to make a reservation at this wonderful new hotel. The rooms are spacious and each one has a balcony with an unobstructed view of the Peña de Bernal. Each room is decorated in a unique way with a very hot and strong shower, unusual in Mexico. We enjoyed the charming company of Ana, the owner while breakfasting on the rooftop terrace. We arrived late on our first night and they graciously provided us with a simple and delicious dinner. Our original reservation was for two nights but we stayed two more because we were so content and comfortable there. We had a rental car and there is plenty of parking in downtown but it would also be possible to walk to Centro from the hotel. The hotel provides secure parking behind a locked gate.
There is a big beautiful pool which would be very nice in hot weather after an afternoon of shopping and sight-seeing in Bernal. You can watch people across the valley climbing the mountain, sometimes coming down in the dark using flashlights!
Bernal is a lovely small town with pedestrian streets and pretty plazas and many good restaurants. It is known for it's candy, primarily cajeta, and weaving. There are many craft shops and beautiful embroidered clothing. Rock hounds will love it here, there are beautiful crystals of all kinds embedded in the local rocks and for sale all over town.

Bernal is a wonderful place to visit and although there are many hotels in centro, we would always choose Rángu for it's serenity and comfort. It is one of the nicest hotels we have ever visited in 25 years of travel throughout Mexico. GO! You will not be disappointed!More
