We visited with family, lovely simple food on offer: sandwiches, toasties, soup, cakes etc. The child's snack box was excellent value. Great little gift shop with pocket money prices for children. Amazing views of the sea.

We have visited here three times now and have enjoyed every visit, the menu is nice and simple and the food is good. They even prepared a cheese and jam toastie (a tasty Scottish delicacy!) for an eighty-plus year old lady that was with us, there was no hesitation or even raised eyebrows- it was just done, thank you ladies. The staff are lovely and the whole place is spotless, and never forget that the place is run for the benefit of the community inshore lifeboat which is housed under the restaurant.

Popped in for a drink and snack. Bright, clean and friendly with great views over the bay. Prices very reasonable and good quality homemade grub. Had toastie which was stuffed with filling, hubby had homemade soup and roll, was really thick and steaming just what was needed on a chilly autumn day. Hot chocolate was to die for and really hit the spot. Great way to raise funds for a great local cause (PIRSAC)

The View is situated in the harbour in the little Scottish village of Port William in Dumfries and Galloway. The View has now been open for about 6 months and was a much needed addition to the village facilities. We went in for lunch and the menu consists of your typical toasties and pannini's but they also do some lovely cakes. I had a ham and cheese toastie that was well presented and tasted delicious. The staff are friendly and the View is in a great location overlooking Port William Harbour and Luce Bay but I couldn't see much today because of the mist. I recommend visit if ever you are in the area.

Really liked it here. Clean fresh and tidy. spacious and staff friendly and helpful. I like black coffee with fresh cream and they had this (unlike many places) also Latte and other coffees. Had nice selection of cakes and biscuits (other meals too if you wish) Can sit in or outside.
Views are gorgeous from this vantage point hence the name 'The View'

Lovely place to go for a walk around, take some photos and sit or just meander around and have a coffee. Dogs not allowed inside.
