“Best UK holiday we have had!”
Reviewed 3 September 2018 for a stay in August 2018

We are a family of 2 adults, 2 boys (10&12) and an 18month old cavapoo dog, we arrived at see echoes on the 25th August 2018 to a beautifully clean apartment and a yummy complementary cream tea which was a welcome surprise after a very long drive! The apartment is very light and airy with a lovely homely feel, there was plenty of room for all 4 of us and the dog enjoyed the garden lots! Unfortunately we were not blessed with the best weather but Katrina has all bases covered and has a great selection of dvds and family games which we took full advantage of! The location of the apartment is fabulous only 2minutes walk to the beach and has beautiful sea views, the only downside we faced was that the beach has a dog ban during the summer months so did not get as much use as we would have liked, we did find several local beaches that doggies were welcome on so wasn't much of a problem, we enjoyed holywell bay beach as it's huge! In porthtowen itself is the blue bar where we enjoyed a great meal and both kids and dogs were welcome (nachos were yum!), there is a fabulous little ice cream shop where we enjoyed an ice cream or 2! There is a nice little trinket shop for gifts and a convenience shop for essentials (Aldi and Tesco are only 10mins drive away though) hubby highly recommends the warm cheese pastys sold here.
Porthtowen is in a great location being only 30mins away from st Ives, Newquay, Penzance and the seal sanctuary, down the road is Healeys cider farm and Cornwall gold all again highly recommend, Treveskis farm is around 10-15mins away and is a foodies dream! All in all this was the best UK holiday our family has taken and would happily return tomorrow! Thank you again Katrina and family for your hospitality.

Excellent holiday. weather was amazing late 20,s early 30,s. Was greeted with cornish clotted cream and scones. Apartment was clean but needs a fan as it was boiling and a full roof on sun room as floor was scorching from the sun shining through the roof. Was disappointed to find out the dogs couldnt go on the beach. But we did sneak them on. Dolphins where in the bay which was amazing. sat on the beach till after 10 most nights with a bottle of wine watching the amazing sunsets. The blue bar was great, dogs welcome. all in all one of the best relaxing holidays ever. Bikinis and kaftans day and night. Heaven!! katrina the owner was lovely and so was her family. The neighbours made us very welcome.

“Most relaxing holiday ever”

We had an incredible holiday at Sea Echoes. The flat and garden were lovely and spotless, beds incredibly comfortable and the whole place well-equipped. Katrina and her neighbours are really lovely and friendly, making the place feel genuinely like a home from home. It was quiet and peaceful, and we could only just hear the Blue Bar when England scored against Croatia in the World Cup! The beach was about 2 minutes walk away, which was just perfect for us.
Porthtowan itself is amazing; the beach is beautiful, good for sandcastles, sunbathing and surfing - we stuck to bodyboarding and had a fantastic time. The RNLI are on the beach from 10-6 in the summer which is really helpful. The shops are well-stocked, and the beach shop is the best we'd ever seen. We recommend the ice-cream at the Moomaid of Zennor, and eating at the lovely Blue Bar. Try also the fab pizza takeaway in St Agnes - lovely staff and brilliant food.
We've already booked again for next year!

Just returned from a lovely holiday at Sea Echoes. On arrival we were greeted by delicious scones, cream and jam which was welcomed after a long drive. The apartment is perfectly placed for views of the sea and some lovely walks directly from the front door. In the garden you can spend time relaxing and getting ready for the amazing surf or stroll along the beach to Chapel Porth. The apartment has everything you could need for a comfortable stay and Katrina is on hand to give you suggestions on places to visit, good places to eat or if you need anything. We'd highly recommend this apartment,

We can honestly say this is the best place in the UK we have ever stayed! Fabulous sea view, best we've ever had. Everything we need is in "Sea Echoes", we haven't wanted for anything. Really comfy beds. Such a friendly and relaxed area. Alfie the dog has loved his seaside holiday! We have already recommended to so many people. Thank you!

What can I say, a wonderful review, thank you so much! Great to hear that your little dog Alfie loved his holiday so much too, despite him holidaying during the main local beach restriction period. Doggies always have a good time regardless as there are so many other areas to exercise/take them. We hope to welcome you back soon. Katrina
