The crowded, noisy "lobby" should have been a tip off--that plus the vacuous desk clerk who had no idea we had a reservation. I had the correspondence with me proving we were expected. Finally, he shuffled off to locate someone who could take us to our "room." It was closet sized, required a leap of about a foot to enter the miniscule bathroom whch was evidently added as an afterthought. The commode was practically under the shower head and there were NO bath mats or towels.

The room was illuminated by a single bare lightbulb--think interrogation- -and we could hardly hear ourselves talk. The door was loose and any old plastic card could have opened the lock--should we have lost our key! Although we had paid for a night, we cheerfully surrendered those pesos and moved on after a mere thirty minutes. To their credit some of the staff seemed eager to assure us that a better room would be available the following day, but we feared by then we might be receiving guests in the hospital where we would be adjusting to our new hips and/or knees. I should insert here we are in our 60s, too old, obviously, for a youth hostel.

Nobody sported pants with creases or carried real luggage. We immediately went to the Holiday Inn which was considerably more comfortable--and safe! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone over sixteen unless he/she is very, very agile and enjoys roughing it to the max.

We stayed at this hotel with a mission group of several youth. The kids were able to wonder around this part of town with little worry by us adults. My husband and I loved the room. The beds were a bit hard for my taste. However, I loved the open-air courtyard in the middle. Some of the kids stayed in the suites and they looked very nice. I enjoyd the breakfast. We didn't get to enjoy the evening snacks, but they sound wonderful. The hotel staff was very helpful to all of our party. The kids enjoyed the lobby computer, but the wireless connection was good in the room, too. The room was very clean. For the money, it is well worth it! Can't wait to go back to Puebla and stay at the Hotel Imperial!

This hotel is cheap and ....cheap. It cost 27 euros a night which for our first night at a hotel in Mexico we didn't think was that bad.

The rooms are old and worn (like most we ended up staying in in Mexico) but it was clean. It is cheap and it also includes breakfast (VERY basic, I wouldn't even call it continental!), FREE parking and free wi-fi connection "in your room". The connection was good as well. There was even some kinds of snacks on the Eve!

The room had a double bed and a single bed. They are sort of located up the stairs in a sort of landing area. The sitting area is down the stairs along with the shower.

The security to this hotel was a bit of a let down, the place and door didn't really seem very secure. The staff seem to pay little attention to whom was entering a leaving. Again, a good place to stay at and save some money.
