We stumbled upon this place after following a bad link between Tripadvisor, maps, and a different Italian restaurant. We had just returned to Morelia, hungry, after a trip to the beach and followed the trip advisor/map link to a restaurant which is not where the map suggested it would be. Hungry and undeterred, we wandered through beautiful colonial Morelia until with found this gem of a restaurant. The vibe is casual enough for a family, but sophisticated enough for a date. The service was pleasant, if unhurried - which is pretty typical in Mexico. Bread came out quickly, drinks followed. We had a very reasonable bottle of wine with really delicious plates of various types of pasta. I am a big fan of Italian food in Mexico. I love the way Italian food is often presented in elegant, but unpretentious restaurants, with a friendly vibe and attention to fresh ingredients. Plus, I like that sometimes there is just a touch of spice that you don't tend to get in Italian plates in the States or in Italy. This place is one of those wonderful Italian food gems. We are a family of four. We all enjoyed our meals and left satisfied. Great food, relaxed vibe, a place worth visiting, particularly if you are in the mood for something other than Mexican food in Morelia.(no slight intended to the local dishes - Morelia offers some really delicious regional food.)
