Stayed a week with my wife in mid-March. No sign of spring break craziness at this beautiful complex, just gorgeous ocean view and friendly neighbors and staff. The grounds at Las Olas were impeccable, maintained daily. The condo is clean and well-appointed. King bed super comfy. WiFi worked without a hitch. Full kitchen with most of what you need. View from balcony is stunning. Owners were responsive and helpful throughout the process. If you're looking for a relaxing spot that makes it easy to do what you want to do on your vacation, this is it.
Two pieces of advice I wish I had ahead of time -
Highway is noisy and unavoidable on this stretch, but AC unit in bedroom drowns it out at night, and surf drowns it out down by pool. We thought we would skip a car rental and just walk along it to restaurants and shopping - wrong move, it's gross. But once we got a car, we found it very easy to get around. Fun dinners in San Jose, day trip to Cabo, beach time at Palmilla - definitely worth it. Be aware that mandatory insurance is not included in most price quotes though - you're not gonna (legally) pay less than $30 a day. But after factoring in to/from airport and taxis within town (not at all cheap), it will be a no-brainer for us next time.
Beach in front of Las Olas has a couple of great surf breaks, but is too rocky / steep for swimming. Short walk (200-300yds) to a sandy, swimmable spot that worked for me, but still too rough for the lady. For a great beach day, take the car one exit down to Palmilla. Public access, easy parking, short walk, perfect water. Really great place.
I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a beautiful home base to launch their own adventures from. Can't wait to go back for some more of our own.
