Glass Bottom Boat Tour
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 6 July 2010

You can not go to the Los Cabos area without going on a Glass Bottom Boat Tour. The tour will take you to Lovers Beach to feed the fish, out and around The Arch to the Pacific side. You will see a lot of seals laying on rocks catchin' some sun. On the Pacific side you will see Divorce Beach. The total tour takes less then an hour, or you can get out at Lovers Beach and spend some time there, they'll pick you up later.

The boat we took had a ladder so it was very easy getting in and out, it was a red boat.

TIP: Take tortillas with you to feed the fish.....fun!

For a relatively cheap price ($10 per person) this guy gave us the tour of our lifetime! Great dude and nice boat. Would ( and did) recommend him to anyone who wants to see the point in Cabo!

The waves were really strong the day we went out. At only $8 apiece the glass bottom boat tour was a heck of a deal, but it ended up being pretty scary. The boat we got only had one person, the operator, so we were on our own getting onboard. You basically had to jump into the boat on your own. That wasn' t too bad, but we had to stop at Lover's BeaCH to pick up a family, and we all had to help get them on without the boat creaming them. When we got back to Medano Beach the operator (Leo, who was so very nice) had trouble getting us off because the waVES had gotten choppier, and getting off was very difficult. You basically had to jump into the water and try to keep from getting beaten up by the boat. The boat actually started taking on water, and after we got off one of the other passengers had to be taken off by jetski as Leo couldnt get near the beACH any more. It was a very dangerous situation but what a view.

in a town where everthing costs money, this tour is a well spent $25. It takes about an hour to cruise past lover's beach/divorce beach, look at the fish around the rocks, take some pictures of the waves crashing through the archway, admire the sea lions, and in the right season... you can even get close to the humpback whales!

There are literally HUNDREDS of water taxis hat offer this tour. If you have a good guide, he will be able to tell you some of the history and legends about different rock formations and the surrounding area. If you have a bad guide, you will still get some good pictures, but may be left to entertain yourself during a quiet, hour long boat ride. I have experienced both which is why I say, IT IS ALL IN THE TOUR GUIDE!

The glass bottom boat tour is fantastic! Our driver was great and you can actually see a ton of fish! Great way for kids to see everything. Our water taxi did have life vests for kids, you just have to ask for them. After being dropped off at Lovers Beach, our driver returned right on time. Trip was $10 per person and worth every penny!
