We stayed at Riu Santa Fe and it was very pleasant. Great food, amenities. All the service personnel were so attentive and efficient, very kind. Great pools. Once we arrived to our room got some issue with our safety box but it was resolved prontly.

Positive things first; great spot with a great view (we upgraded to ocean front), we really liked all the staff we encountered, lots of different food options with the Asian being our favourite, nothing was great. Lots of different pool and relaxing options, although the pool bar next to the Palace was pretty much unusable due to the construction over there, just too noisy. Sports bar was lots of fun.

Things that made the trip just okay; pillows and towels were terrible, we stayed at the Palace last year and its worth the extra money just for that! We got Montezuma's revenge, we travel frequently including Cabo multiple times and have never experienced this before, we couldn't eat or drink for the last 2 days and as I'm writing this i'm still not back on solid food. Loud and noisy, every time someones room door closes it slams and shakes the whole wing, they really need to fix that. Our room had this musty smell that we could not get rid of, no screen on the door so we couldn't keep it open.

Bottom line is it's good for the price, but explore your options.

Room Tip: Ocean View!

Went with a group of 11 girls for a bachelorette party, we had a blast . I would recommend the 7000 building, although it is far from the main reception area. Being an all inclusive resort you really don't need to go anywhere, they even have live shows.
The only negative was all the ATM machines were broken and you can't get cash from the Hotel itself.
I would recommend bringing a lot of small bills.
Also the elevator was broken 3 days so we had to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs in the extreme heat. The service was good but could be better with more staff.

This place was a great place for the money we paid for it. We had garden view rooms that were in building 4 and building 5 (which is also within walking distance to all parts of the resort. There were two large pool areas that were kept clean. The only downside of it was that if you wanted to sit together as a group right by the pool you needed to reserve areas because those seats went the fastest. The restaurants were very good and food was well prepared. We were able to make reservations to the restaurants days prior so no need to wake up early to stand on line. It is a family friendly resort as well and close in proximity to sightseeing areas. It is a little further away from the airport but with buses and taxis it is very easily accessible.

Room Tip: Buildings 3,4, and 5 are in proximity to evernything. Building 7 is the newest with an elevator.
