I don't believe in long reviews, I believe in truthfulness and to the point.

To start, the room. Yes it is nice just as most people have mentioned. No issues with the room, other than there are no snacks in the room. Not a deal breaker, but would have been nice.

The food. The breakfast buffet was adequate, nothing to rave about but no issues with it. Portofino was very good, service there was the best we had at the resort. Seaside had good service and food. Oceana was fair, but could have been an off night. Room service we actually enjoyed, it didn't take too long and was good. As some have mentioned there are no snacks, but then again it's not a cruise ship were you eat all day, it's a resort.

Service. It was very good, no issues at all.

The bad. Yes it is a noisy resort. It's not enough to ruin a trip, but I prefer a little less noise.

Tip. If you like interesting drinks, the lobby bar will make you some fabulous drinks. I learned this too late. Tip, tip, and tip, it is appreciated by the staff, remember a couple dollars to you is nothing, but it well received by the staff. Don't be surprised if the person next to you who is tipping gets better service, it's only logical that would happen.

Entertainment. Well it is simple and each night a small performance, but once again it was fine.

I gave 4 stars because it's a clean, nice resort. Some aspects of the hotel exceeded my expectations, some just met them. Nothing disappointed me. I have stayed at other resorts in cabo, which I enjoyed more, but with a cost to that. Dreams is a good value, remember don't expect world class food and amenities, unless you are willing to pay for it. But what you get is good for what you pay for,

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Dreams Los Cabos. The only issue we had was the beginning of our trip. When we arrived we were told our room was being upgraded and we had already booked a junior suite king but when they gave us the upgraded room it was 2 double beds. So to us as a married couple this was not satisfactory. So we had to wait 3 more hours for a new room. They were also suppose to give us some goodies for one of our birthdays and this took us until at least the 3rd day to receive. But the staff was very nice and the resort was beautiful. The breakfast was awesome every morning. We had fun trying all the dinner spots. We enjoyed our visit and hope to visit one of AMR's resorts in the future but hope they can get the room thing fixed as we have stayed at 2 of your resorts and each time our rooms were double beds when we had booked king beds. Als we tried a day trip that cost $20 to go to a bed to swim and when we got there they said it was too rough to swim and we got charged for the taxi ride which we thought was unfair as they charged us $8 each for a brief 10 minute drive each way. We had 13 people on this trip so did they really pay $104 for a 10 minute ride that they couldn't refund all of our $20? We thought that could have been easily refunded by a resort that I am sure makes enough money to fix that situation without making it feel like it was our fault. We spent a lot of money on this visit just to come there so the taxi situation could have been handled better. Again we enjoyed the stay overall and even with the bad start and the bad swimming trip we still enjoyed the area and would go again but will probably go visit another area first as we want to visit many places as possible to see the world.

Room Tip: Need more variety of amenities such as separate shampoo n conditioner and other toiletries and also bigger slippers for men with larger feet (13 size shoe). Possible upgrade the pillows or provide a variety of types as my wife had to use 3 or 4 pillows each night.

This all-inclusive resort is the only way to go. Dreams is attractive, clean, staff friendly, tranquil yet adventurous and away from rif raf but easy to venture out. A must shout out to some key folks, Antoine for Prefered Club, Luis at the Ocean Grill, Melaney at housekeeping. Now for restaurants, 1st prize to Bordeaux and ask for Aldolfo. With fine dinning likes from wife and daughter, this was a pleaser and ask for Mexican Coffee show. Second goes to Portofino withe excellent risotto and wonderful bread. Do the Fire show and of course tequila tasting. For Excursions go with ATV trip booking with front desk and Angelo will take you on a wonderful experience at Wild Canyon. Luxury Day sail was super fun with first mate Daniel. So next stop another AMresorts.

From the moment we arrived we were blown away with the excellent service from everybody on the resort. Anything we needed or any question we had was met and answered within minutes. Especially Josue Anorve the bell boy, he went above and beyond with every interaction from recommendations to insuring our stay exceeded expectations! We cant wait to return to this beautiful resort!

I've been staying at this resort for 11 days now, and I'm sorry to say that I'm counting down the minutes to go home!

My son (2 yrs) and husband travel very extensively - we've been to "all inclusives" and also rent/own other places when we're away from home. I would say that if you've never been to an all inclusive, you might think that this place is amazing.

Yes, the rooms are beautiful, the bed is comfortable and it's clean. However, there are many areas that need improvement.

1) It is NOISY. The DJ plays music by the pool CONSTANTLY starting from 10am and never stops until 10pm. There are live shows every night that start at 8:30pm. I'm on vacation and have not had a nap once! If you're looking for some peace and quiet, you will NOT find it here.

2) FOOD. The problem here is that the selection is incredibly limited. Portofino is very nice and they make efforts to provide excellent service. The food is good (not great). World Cafe literally serves the same breakfast EVERYDAY with small substitutions here and there. The Seaside Grill has a few dishes that were good - but that becomes redundant quickly. Room service is terrible. The quality of the food and the length of time it takes to arrive - just awful.

There are no snacks offered whatsoever.

And should you get sick, there is literally nothing that you can eat. No soup, no tea, no crackers. I know to stay away from ice and raw vegetables (which I have) and yet I've been stomach sick for several days.

The plastic glasses that are used at the pool and some of the restaurants are disgusting. Several times they have arrived with water in them. I understand why plastic is necessary at the pool - but there should be steps to avoid contamination. Also, beer should NEVER be served in a plastic glass in a restaurant as they do at the World Cafe. And asking for the bottle is not optional.

3) SERVICE. 50% of the time the service was good. I hate to say it, but if you don't tip for every single meal and drink, you will feel the difference in service. We usually tip all our waiters and staff at the end of the trip, taking into account how many days and the quality of service - I mean part of the reason you're at an all inclusive is so you can forget about that kind of stuff, but we found that we were not being treated as well - so we had to start bringing change everywhere.

A few very understanding and knowledgeable people who deserve recognition: Leonito at the Seaside Grill, Francisco at the pool bar, Rosario at the snack bar, the Hostess at the World Cafe (I'll add name here), and everyone at Portofino works very hard and it shows.

4) SPA. RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED.
$219 USD for a Swedish massage?? Come on.

5) The pool could be much cleaner. The water gets really scuzzy by the steps next to the bar.

All in all I'd say that if you're not really interested in the beach, are content to drink all day and party all night and do not have a very distinguished palette, this might be the perfect place for you. As far as I am concerned, I would not come back and would not recommend it.
