Hacienda Cocina and Cantina offers two entrances, a private entrance with stairs from the beach and the main entrance of the resort after passing through the gate. The resort is inspìred by Mexico’s hacienda culture, the grounds are gorgeous and the open air seating perfectly placed in front of an unbeatable view of Medano beach and Pacific Ocean.
In the words of the owners the restaurant celebrates Mexican cuisine focusing on the traditional dishes from Sea of Cortez. And they do an incredible job of it.
For example the Camarones Diabla consist of jumbo sautéed shrimp, diabla sauce, mozzarella cheese, peppers, grilled pineapple, and spring onion. It comes in a hot stone bowl with a cheesy souplike creation of amazingness called diablo sauce! The shrimp are huge and fresh, marinated in the diablo sauce and accompanied by a side of orange rice. Simply mouth watering.
Sip slowly on the mango margaritas which are made with mezcal. This is a great drink for a very enjoyable night out.
If you are adventurous try out the Churros de la Casa for dessert (AKA Mexican street doughnuts) which come with chocolate and caramel sauces. A delicious end to a great journey into the delights of Mexican cuisine.
