Because today is a national holiday in Mexico I was prepared to be patient as all the restaurants were packed. I found a table at La Terraza next to El Jardin. And this is the correct name, not Las Terrazas. I sat down and waited ten minutes. Then I rose and asked the owner's daughter who mans the cash register for a menu and the Wifi password. She grabbed a waiter for me and told him to bring the Wifi code. He never returned. Another 10 minutes go by. I rise and ask the owner's daughter for a menu. It is brought to me. Given the level of patrons I ask for something really simple. Pancakes and orange juice. Another twenty minutes go by. I rise again. I tell the owner's daughter I want the OJ now please. It arrives in a minute. And then unbelievably I wait another ten minutes for the pancakes. Sadly, this tale continues. I ask for syrup. The waiter says he will get it. He doesn't return. I stand, find another waiter and ask him for syrup. He says, "in a moment." He doesn't return. I rise for the final time and say to the owner's daughter, "now the food is cold, where is the syrup?" Well, she says, "a waiter left the restaurant to go to the store to buy more syrup." I said, "I am leaving." I live in San Miguel de Allende. I speak spanish. The owner's daughter said, "you don't have to pay for the pancakes or the juice." I left her a few pesos for the juice. Do not subject yourself to this level of service. I will never return to La Terraza. And, BY THE WAY, their Wifi was inoperable.
