We have stayed in villas during ski season and used ski in/out. They will keep equipment dry and warm upon arrival. Always wanted to go in summer. Awesome!!! Used VRBO and stayed next to main lobby. Great view of river, pool, lobby activities, and mountain. Bar is fun, gym is large valet was always on it. I was reccomended to take a specific rafting trip by concierge. This was over sold. Small town good buddy deal. The pool and set of hot tubs ROCK!!!!

We stayed at the Westin over Labor Day weekend. The facility is great and it is in a fantastic location, right on the river. Overall, the staff is very helpful.

However, the facility needs to update their pet policy. We were at the bar in the lobby, seated a few seats from a couple that had two dogs, both medium size. One of the dogs barked, growled and snarled at every other dog that passed by as well as some people. When we asked the hotel staff to do something, we were told that the couple were owners and the dog was certified as a service dog. First, no service dog acts like that. Second, once an animal has shown it is disruptive, the owners should be asked to control the animal or leave the lobby. Also, food was being served in the bar and I was surprised that animals were allowed in a food service area.

We have stayed at The Westin three times now and really enjoyed it. It would be nice to see them do a better job with their pet policy for the enjoyment of all guests.

Visited Labor Day week for a short business trip and was happily greeted by gorgeous high-ceiling rooms and beautiful scenery. The hotel was experiencing peak low season and it showed - almost no one around the property, including at the restaurant. We were the only guests for breakfast both mornings. The gondola wasn’t operating, and most businesses had limited hours. But the trees were starting to turn and it felt lovely to sit outside on the hotel porch by the fire pits.

A few improvement areas:
-fireplace in room worked for 2 min and then shut off. We had someone try and fix it, but it was still broken.
-internet didn’t work almost at all in our room.
-platinum breakfast benefit was limited to a menu with a few options. As someone who has any dietary restriction, you basically wouldn’t be able to eat. Even the oatmeal is filled with cream.

The LIFT CAFE at the Westin Riverfront in Avon, CO, is a great stop for a delicious breakfast sandwich (I chose the scrambled egg, ham & Swiss on a croissant). Joni redefined the friendly attitude so prevalent West of the Mississippi and Westin properties in particular. The view of Beaver Creek (and ALL scenery along I-70) is breathtaking.

We loved our stay at the Westin! We splurged and got a two-room mountain side suite and it was well worth it! We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne to celebrate anniversary - which was unexpected! The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed probably the best fitness gym I’ve seen at a hotel, pool and hot tub! The Maya restaurant was delicious, with excellent service from Nellie. Table side guacamole is a must.

Valet parking only, which gets expensive. Especially when the shuttle service was not reliable.

We would love to come back, highly recommend! Oh, and robes are sooo comfy!
