This was recommended by our air B and B host as a great restaurant particularly as we are now out of season and tourist places are often either closed or lack atmosphere.
We were not disappointed. I and a delicious moussaka and my husband had really good chicken and wine dish.
Service was good, complimentary local dessert and fruit and raki.
Would thoroughly recommend.

I must start by saying the restaurant itself is a beautiful place to eat - they have really pulled all the stops out with the decor.

The food itself was delicious with the lambs liver starter and the veal stifado being definite highlights.

The only disappointment was the service. The waiters felt standoffish and rather inattentive. When the main courses arrived they didn't clear away the other plates and then simply placed the bill on the table without a word. After that point we didn't see anyone again until we went to find someone to pay.

Simply put, go here for the food and the decor but try not to let the service dampen the experience.

A lovely restaurant with great service and a more interesting menu than many tavernas. We went later in the evening so missed the views which would be an added bonus. Had a lovely lamb meal (they're keen on the filo pastry wraps) and the portions were very generous. Well worth a visit, a large place but very busy even in September. Mixed clientele, couples, families, groups. Something to suit everyone!

The other positive reviews are entirely warranted. An out-of-town location on the road to/from Balos Bay:
- very friendly people
- quaint, yet with a variety of seating inside and out
- a good choice on the menu
- complimentary raki from the start (!)

Beware ordering too much!

Recently dined at Gramboussa after reading reviews and being recommended by our proprietor. We had high expectations, but were disappointed. The service was impersonal and average. I had chicken with sage, very tough and dry. My husband had the specialty lamb kleftico baked in phyllo, tasty, but no sides (no veggies or potatoes, just meat). Prices were on the high side compared to other dining establishments in the area. Despite the restaurant appearing popular and busy, we probably would not return.
