This place has a wonderful friendly staff and good food, but our credit card was charged by the restaurant 7 different times for a total that didn't even come close to what was charged at the restaurant. Pay cash here, they might over charge your credit card.

Rustic, wonderful atmosphere. I got the lamb livers in rosemary and vinegar. It was truly amazing. A lot of interesting things to look at, and of course, a lot of hungry animal friends waiting for you to not finish your meal. :)

The food is great, freshly cooked, and mostly served with grilled vegetables or potatoes. The choice on the menu is varied and always looks as appealing as it is tasty. Includes the usual Cretan options but extra ones too. The ambience is fantastic, friendly staff and decor is simple, makes lovely use of planting and lighting. We have been several times, but the evening of an orange full moon rising over the hills was spectacular. Excellent value for money especially if drinking local wines with meal.

Great reastaurant in small town on the road to Balos. Unique traditional Cretan environment, perfect view, unique tastes, great service. I really love fetacheese in pie crust, moussaka and zucchini blossom! the extras - fruits after the meal and a small bottle of raki :) Definitely highly recommended!

The first time we went we enjoyed it. We ate chicken fillet and salad and Tzasiki. The service was fine but it was very cramped. As we liked it we went back two days later and the service was terrible. Waited ages to be served. The waiter tried to push us to eat the special and was visibly disappointed that we didn't. It was full of tourists and the staff didn't seem to be interested. I'm not sure which visit is more representative but I suspect the second visit. The food was good but the wine wasn't.
