Service was the star of the show here. Food quality was good too but we were disappointed to not be allowed to order a donair. We chose this place for lunch because we saw donairs on the menu online. When we arrived they said we could only order them on the ‘take out’ side. So if we had gone right next door, same kitchen and got take out to sit on the patio then it was allowed. This just does not make sense to me.

We stopped at Andre's on the way back from a day of sightseeing and almost got there too late, but the hostess was gracious and allowed us to be served at the last minute. Since there was only one other family there, the waitress had extra time to chat and told us a little bit about the place. The building has lots of exposed brick and a decorative tin ceiling. Album covers are hung all over the walls which belong to the owner, mostly vintage 1970s stuff (see pics). The tables were glass-topped and underneath were concert tickets which were also mostly from the scrapbook of the owner and it was fun to look at them while we waited for our food. Mostly stuff from the 70s and 80s.

The pizza was not exceptional but it was good and fresh and we enjoyed the meal overall. We did want to try an appetizer but because they were about to close that wasn't possible. I'm sure it's even more fun to visit during busy hours when the jukebox plays.

Good dependable food in all categories. Pizzas to pastas to fish and chips. Not fancy but very comfortable for a small group or family. Couple of tables tucked away along the windows for more privacy. Interesting decor with album covers on the walls and concert tickets under glass on all the tables.

Stopped in with my husband for lunch. We both ordered the beef dip - mine with a Caesar and his with fries. Lovely beef and bun, but we both thought the au jus dip was far too thick, more like a thick gravy. My Caesar was excellent, fresh and crunchy. My husband mentioned later that his coffee was weak (he should have mentioned it to the waitress but didn't) but my tea was very good. Service friendly and attentive.
