Took a solo trip to Tulum, this hotel is small which I like. This morning I had the beach to myself for an hour. I am the only American here currently. Most of the staff speaks a little English some better than others, which is ok, my Spanish is pretty bad so the fact that they try is wonderful. Most announcements have been made in I believe Italian seems like there is a large group from Italy here now. The beach is amazing, the food is good. As previous posts mentioned dinner isn't til 730 pm but they have snacks at the one bar, so all is well. They have a buffet, the snack bar and another restaurant. Limited if you are picky, and or want a gourmet experience. My room is very comfortable, I have an amazing beach view and a hammock on my patio.
The free wifi is really bad, and only works in the lobby, not the seating area near the lobby, just the lobby.
Also the gift shop isn't open on Sunday. It's monday and it should be open now but the person isn't here, I've been waiting over 30mins. I just need to buy sunscreen, the desk person apparently can't help, it is really something they should be able to fix, but here I am just waiting.More
