The hostel has a nice bright exterior. Lots of interesting decor to catch your eye. Music playing with a nice chilled out theme. We stayed 2 nights in the Friday kahlo suite. It had a double bed, a sofa bed, kitchen area, private bathroom and even a room with a hammock in.
The room also has AC and a fan.

They offer a complementary breakfast too, which consists of bread and a crepe with jams and a coffee. Their was some confusion with the cook as she charged us for breakfast (she seemed to think we'd come off the street) even after showing her our room key. Nevertheless it was all sorted once we spoke to someone in reception.

Hi, we're glad that you liked our place and enjoyed our ambience music and your room!

We're really sorry about the confusion at the restaurant.

We thank you for staying with us and hope you can visit us again, this time maybe for a longer stay!

Cheers.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights in a dorm with AC in this hostel and we loved it. The place looks really amazing and the whole stuff was really helpful (did free phonecalls for us, had good advice for bike-rental, etc.). We also used the good equipped kitchen and had nothing to complain about. Thanks for the great stay!

We stayed at El Jardin de Frida for 6 nights and had an amazing experience. Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful rooms and garden, clean and tidy, yummy bread and crepe with amazing self made Marmelade included for breakfast. All in all we really, really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend! But you should rent a bike to get around and to the beach, since it's quite far (~7km) from there.

I organized a cultural/linguistic trip for 8 kids (12 year olds) which included daily lessons at a nearby school. Jardin de Frida was excellent for our purposes. Very quaint, with lovely common rooms both inside and outside, as well as rooms with private baths and air conditioning. A dorm with 5 beds for the boys, a suite for 3 girls. The other mom and I shared a suite and found the beds comfortable. Delicious breakfast with crepes, home made bread and jam is included. Well located, walking distance from school as well as many, many restaurants. My only misgiving is that on Saturday night there was very loud music from somewhere nearby that played until 4am. The other nights were quieter, but you sometimes hear dogs barking or trucks driving by. Apart from this, excellent value for your money. I would highly recommend for those on a budget!

I was looking for a nice and relaxing place. I found El jardin de Frida in my guide but hesitated booking it since people reviewed the location as very far, so I hesitated. I can tell you, this place isn't far at all! Tulum has just one main road and the hostel is on there. From the bus station it's a 4 block walk. This been said, this place is amazing. Everything is very well taken care off and the breakfast is amazing. If you are looking for a big party, this isn't your place but it's perfect for all other occasions.
