If you like seafood that is fresh and plentiful and at a great price, you will love El Camello!
This used to be a real "local secret" but the word spread, because the prices are as excellent as the food. There is plenty of space and fans for airflow. The service is fast and friendly and you definitely won't leave hungry! If you are lucky, you will even get their homemade Flan for dessert!

Perfectly fine fried fish, with really big portions. We shared one portion of fried fish and one of guacamole and it was more than enough for the two of us. They also have live music at the weekends which means it's even busier then.

We were recommended this restaurant by a local, and it truly impressed us. The quality of the fish & sea-food was high and the prices were low. It is a simple restaurant, plastic chairs and a really Mexican feeling, so if you want a romantic dinner, it's not the appropriate choice, but if you want tasty, simple and fresh fish & sea-food, it's a must! And ps: portions are very large, so go for the small ceviche if it's just a first plate, we couldn't finish a medium one in two people.

Ate here my last night in Tulum at the recommendation of the hotel owner where I was staying. The place was so full I had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Totally worth it. I had the octopus and it was totally delicious. The food was also really cheap. While the servers were friendly and helpful the service was very slow so I would not recommend coming here if you are in a hurry. Other than that, give it a try!

We ate here on a Saturday night. It got very busy quickly (7.30pm) but the free chips and quick service on the food meant we didn't go hungry.

Make sure you try the orden el camarón en salsa de diabla.
