We arrived to Tulum after a long 11h night bus trip and were looking just for a place to have a good sleep (which is the minimum u can expect from a hostel?). We explicitly asked if the rooms available were noisy since we really needed one night of sleep. Answer given was that from one of the rooms you could hear a bit more the street noise. Didnt sound too bad and the place had good reviews in Lonelyplanet. Until the actual night came and the awful noise with it. The 2 nighclubs near the place kept playing LOUD music till 5am. Earplugs didnt really help since even the bed was shaking because of the sound vibration.

We changed to another place the next day. When we told the owner that we felt disappointed she replied in rude terms that we didnt ask explicitly if the room was noisy.. We understand the bars/nightclubs came after the hostel was opened 20+ yrs ago but that doesnt justify the lack of honesty of the owner when asked, which felt like lying to the customer.

Otherwise, wifi is great, breakfast is good, location as well.

Overall, terrible sound isolation and customer service. Not to recommend or repeat again.

This hotel is directly on the main road, but since we had a room at the very end of the hotel, next to its lovely small inner courtyard, we found it to be very quiet and relaxed. The room was clean and simple, the courtyard is very nice and the hotel has good atmosphere with nice personal touch of the Italian owners. The breakfast is good and complete. Lots of nice and reasonable restaurants within short walking distance.

We stayed here one night after flying into Cancun and renting a car, on the way to a longer trip around the Yucatan peninsula. Great value, felt very secure, and best of all, they were able to accommodate our family of five in one of the rooms upstairs. Air conditioning made the sleeping comfortable and the light, healthy breakfast the next morning helped our day to begin seamlessly. We did hear the pounding bass of the nearby club all night, although the kids slept through it - our fault, we didn't take advantage of the earplugs the hotel provides.

We had the room next to the lobby, it was big, with Air conditioning. All the soaps and shampoos were organic made with natural local ingredients such as honey. Everything was clean. The owner is a mexican guy married with a german lady, they are very nice and helpful people. He knows a lot, so you should hear his advice when it comes to beaches and things to do during the day and night.

There is a breakfast for free, mine came with sweet bread, juice, fruits and coffee. The hotel is located in the main Avenue so there are several restaurants, ice cream places and stores.

I recommend this place.

Room Tip: Choose the main suite, next to the main lobby.

We stayed only one night at this place the location is really good since is located in downtown. The room is small but ok for sleeping. The only thing was the humidity smell .The included breakfast was good.
