Walked over to La Bruja for a mid day snack since reviews were so rave. Ordered the ceviche, limonadas and some chicken empanadas which were all larger portions than I imagined and delish. The chips were fresh and hot and the best I had on the island. I wish we would have defended for a full meal. Nothing fancy but real tasty and kind people.

Great food, beautiful people and very fair prices. An original in LaGloria. No visit to Isla is complete without a visit to LaBruja whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner you'll leave happy.

This was one of the first restaurants we went to on Isla and it's high up on our list of recommendations. Not fancy and the only music is the tele-novellas on the TV or the storefront church next door raising voices in song.

The beer is ice cols and the food is always excellent. My favorite is the grilled fish prepared Vera Cruz style. The buttery, vegetable rich red sauce tops a whole grilled fish. Moist and fresh, the taste is soooo good. They are known for the fish tacos but venture out of your safety zone here. Authentic Mexican food prepared by La Bruja herself. La Bruja means the witch in English and I think she may have gotten the name for the restaurant from people telling her that her cooking was magic!

You can order Cochinita Pibil here on Saturday for pickup on Sunday. Cochinita pibil is a traditional Yucateca slow-roasted pork dish. It isn't normally on a lot of menus because the process is slow. It's delicious. Stop in on a Saturday and ask about reserving some for Sunday.

A nice breakfast menu was added about a year ago. The food is more American but still well prepared and served with a smile.

La Bruja is an Isla experience you will want to repeat!

Our family had lunch here. Very friendly service seating our large group together quickly. Best chips, guacamole, and pico de gallo! We had a marinade steak, chicken, shrimp or pork tacos served with fresh tortillas. Very good!

La Bruja is a lovely gem in the La Gloria neighbourhood of Isla Mujeres. Incredibly friendly and a very casual place to enjoy an excellent meal. The seafood is truly phenomenal - no doubts about the freshness of this fish - you will often see fisherman on their bikes coming up to sell their daily catch to the kitchen! Ceviche mixto was enough to feed a crowd, the Pescado Veracruz was flavourful and tender, and all meals served with gracious hospitality. It's not about frills or fancy decor - just amazing food. We went more than once and found nothing to be disappointed about - value was far greater than the price paid...truly our favourite restaurant on the island.
