We visited The Social Justice, now "La Justica de Don Pino" on the occasion of the day after the proprietor's 45th wedding anniversary -- and the 45th anniversary of this long-standing local favorite restaurant.
Amor was in the air, as our local friends traded jokes about an ingredient in one of the types of ceviche that is supposed to give a man the strength of many donkeys (in bed). After much laughter and refreshing drinks of mineral water with lemon and lime, our main courses arrived. Decadent lobster with garlic for me and my husband, ceviche and breaded fish for our friends.
The owner came over to say hello, and I am pretty sure his grandsons or other family were the waiters. His beautiful daughter visiting from Mexico City came by and he pulled her over to sing a song for us, a Capella.
We got advice on love while eating lobster...a magical evening of food, friends and family.
