It is right in front of the port on the main street, so it's quite noisey. Rooms are clean, but the building is disappointing. There is nothing really wrong in this place, but i think you can find something better in Isla mujeres for the price.

Our stay at the hotel was in some ways better than expected given the price we paid. We were fortunate in that our room was only one flight up as the hotel does not have an elevator. We have been staying in luxury accommodations in general and where trying to economize by staying here. The things that we missed the most was no safe and no shelves or dresser. We started out with 8 hangers but I broke one by putting four shirts on the hanger. On the positive side the included breakfast was quite nice with fresh cut fruit and either eggs or a ham and cheese Mexican kind of thing. The room has an air conditioner and a flat screen TV along with a nice size refrigerator. The bathroom is modern and the whole room is very clean. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are not abrasive. The hotel is very convenient being downtown directly across the street from the ferry. In conclusion if you're looking for an economy Hotel this is a good choice.

We stayed there for few nights and the we ran away. The owner neither gave us back our money paid in full at the arrival (the rate was refundable...so...money stolen) At our arrival day we found sand on the floor and an empty bottle inside the shower (covered of beach sand and blonde hair). Hey...any vacuum cleaner at the property?? We had a baby of 3 yo so we had 2 breakfast, once we asked for a plate os cucumber for the baby they took away one breakfast....so we had one full bkst and one small plate of cucumber..this is incompetence.
The guys at the front desk are so bored and play at the pc while they are talking to you. The only pro is the price...but there is a readon why is the cheapest in town....
Do a favor to yourself....when you see this place...keep walking!

Most of the story this person says is not true.
The room overall was clean upon arrival (check other guest comments about it). I asked the maid to take special care of cleaning these special guests during the following days.
Breakfast was sufficient and I offered to ask what they wanted without additional cost and daily gave the baby a fruit ration that was the only thing that ate.
After 7 days, without prior notice they said that they would go to Cancun since their baby had become ill and they wanted to see a doctor there.
I asked him to notify me where he was going to be in Cancun to see if I could somehow give him back his money but never communicated.
I am surprised that he mentions so many things that never happened.

Frank & his staff made us feel like family. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable & we had lots of hot water. Breakfast is more than sufficient. Fresh fruit, toast, coffee and daily features available.
Location is good. Close to the center of town, beaches & restaurants. Right across from the ferry terminal.
We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Frank and staff for a great stay on Isla Mujares.

We visited during January 8 - 12, 2017. We stayed on the first floor facing the street. The room was clean and had a comfy King size bed, mini fridge, tiny tv and a big walk in shower. If you are a light sleeper this may not be the room for you because it is right beside the public area. The breakfast is served early and it gets noisy because everyone hangs out and uses the free wifi, its the smoking area as well. Its a good place to meet other travellers so it was fine for us. The ferry is located directly across from the hotel so super convenient for heavy luggage. Be warned there is no elevator so be prepared to haul your own luggage. The owner was pretty cool and helpful. He noticed we weren't eating breakfast everyday so he asked us if we wanted eggs instead of the normal fruit and toast, which was very thoughtful. The cleaning staff were awesome too. Our room was cleaned everyday and towels changed regularly as well. If you're not fussy and are on a budget this is the place for you. A good place to people watch and enjoy the view. I'm sure the view is better on the higher floors, but like I said no elevator. I totally recommend this hotel. We enjoyed it.

Room Tip: King bedrooms are more spacious. Double rooms have 2 small double beds and not much space to move around in.
