We were treated like royalty by the staff at Cozumel Palace, and then it got even better when we started getting to know people a little, and then we felt like family guests. The ocean view from our room was a constant delight. We ate at all the restaurants, and enjoyed the food very much. We were sad to leave, and already planning our return vacation.

My family and I just got back from Cozumel Palace Resort all inclusive stay, and already miss it and want to go back. I had never been out of the country before and didn't know what to expect. My expectations were exceeded!!! We were picked up at the airport and taken to the Palace Resort by the staff of the Palace. Once we checked in we were greeted with nice drinks and flowers! The view from the lobby was of the pool and Caribbean Sea.It was breath taking!! Our check in was very organized and one of the coordinators at the Palace sat down and talked with us about all the things the Palace had to offer as well as things we could do around the island or take the ferry across to the main land to Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Tulum etc as well. The rooms were great!!! All the rooms have a view of the Sea as well a balcony with a hammock. The food there is wonderful we especially enjoyed the Italian Restaurant on site. Breakfast was my favorite meal at the resort! We ordered room service, a favorite of my kids, and had food poolside as well. The best thing about the resort is the friendliness of the staff. They work hard to please and accommodate the guests. They make your stay very memorable. There isn't a beach at the resort but you can walk out on a dock and snorkel . If you want to see beaches you can rent a jeep and tour the island and go to the parts were there are beaches . They give you a map at the hotel and show you were to go, or you can take a guided tour with a guide. We did that and toured the island and snorkeled at other places around the island. We also went to Punta Sur on the southern tip of the island and ate at a beach restaurant there. The beauty of the beaches and ocean and waves there are ABSOLUTELY BREATH TAKING!!! While staying at the Palace we used our hotel credits at the spa and got facials and massages, we swam with the dolphins, which was our family favorite, we snorkeled, and had the hotel take pictures of us around the Palace and outside for memories. You can also scuba dive and go on Palace tours for snorkeling, we didn't scuba dive, and we snorkeled on our own. We loved every bit of it!! We also went into town and did some shopping! We toured the Mayan Ruins also which was neat!! The atmosphere is very laid back and VERY SAFE!!! During the day at the resort we spent a lot of time pool side. They have different daily activities to get involved in if you want like pool volleyball, basketball, water aerobics, pilates etc. At night they had different entertainment for the guests that we enjoyed, They also have a kids club for ages 4-12 where your kids can go during the day and evening and have activities with other kids at the resort. This resort was very family friendly. We were there from March 16-March 23 during spring break and there weren't any wild and crazy spring breakers there or any inappropriate things going on. We met lots of families from all over the states there and enjoyed getting to know them. We were also there during March madness and were able to watch the basketball game in the lobby with other families cheering on our favorite teams!!! It was fun!!! We want to go back soon!!! We would definitely stay at the Palace Resort again when we go. There we other families there that had been there before and chose to come back and stay at the Palace for a 2nd and 3rd time. That says a lot!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful. Make sure your room has an ocean view! I think they all do anyway.

The Cozumel Palace was all that we expected and more. The staff was very polite and professioal. They made you feel as family. The food was some of the best. I didn't take long and they greated you by your First name. The facility was very clean. I must add that we are not divers nor do we snorkle. Some of the best drinks at the bars. We are already planning a return trip in July. The people in town were just as freindly.

I travelled here with my boyfriend in December 2011, it was our first all-inclusive trip together. It was a great week, other than the rain we had for a lot of the week, but that's not the resort's fault.

The flight from Edmonton to Cozumel was direct and easy. The airport is very close to the hotel and the little bus that took us there was pleasant. Checkin was great, they rushed drinks over to us, took our bags and sat us in the lounge to relax while they prepared the braclets and papers to bring over to us.

The rooms was spectacular, with a big king sized bed, jacuzzi tub (which was used every night), stocked fridge and full bar with dispensers, and absolutely amazing balcony looking over the pool deck and ocean. We sat up there every night and watched the show below on the pool deck and the cruise ships come and go.

The restaurants were ok, our favorite was the oriental, we ate there 3 times, and mixed it up with ordering all kinds of different dishes out of order, but they were fine with that. The flaming ouzo dessert is a great experience.

The wind was very strong while we were there, so the outside buffet was difficult to enjoy, but again, that's not the fault of the resort.

I liked having the ocean drop off rights at the pool, no messing with sand and beaches, just drop right into the ocean for a snorkel. It wouldn't be great for little kids that can't swim, but great place for adults.

The "Palace members VIP" talk was a little long, they really make you work for your free stuff, but just be tough and take the free stuff and run.

The spa: we loved it so much, we went again. First we did manicures, pedicures, and separate massages, then we went back for a couples massage. I loved every minute of it.

I highly recommend renting scooters to go around the island, we didn't listen to the warnings, if you ride motorbikes at home, you'll be fine in Cozumel. Rent them right across the road and go south east to start (away from town). This will help you get comfortable all the way around the island before attempting to drive in town. It's the best way to experience the wild side of the island.

Room Tip: always facing the ocean, if you get anything else, you have been ripped off, those are for agents.

I am very late in writing this review, I can't stop thinking how wonderful it was. We stayed at the Palace in September 2011. The room was fabulous, ocean view. The food and the choices were outstanding. If you snorkel or dive this place is for you. There is no beach, but perfect for snorkeling. One step in the water and great adventures await. We walked to town several times and felt safe. We will return.
