“Wonderful holiday!”
Reviewed 5 March 2012

My husband and I just returned from 10 wonderful days at Cozumel Palace in Mexico.
Cannot say enough about the graciousness of the entire staff at this resort. They greet everyone with a smile every day and have a genuine desire to make your trip as wonderful as possible. They get a 10 + in this area especially Fili and Julieta in the morning :)

This resort is one of the smaller resorts we have stayed at, so if you are looking for something large with multiple restaurants and an assortment of pools this may not be for you. We loved the coziness of it and the fact that you could snorkel right in front of the property. All rooms overlook the ocean. We had no trouble finding a spot pool side. Staff come around frequently to make sure you have all you need. They do a great job of utilizing every inch of the property which is spotless. Food was great -no complaints at all. Really enjoyed the Italian restaurant and romantic lobster dinner was great.

One of the great perks of our trip was the $2,000 resort credits. While we knew we would receive these when we booked we did not believe they would be easy to cash in or of that much value. We were pleasantly surprised! We were able to redeem them for two (each) 50 minute massages at the spa (wonderful), swam with the dolphins, upgraded our room to concierge level, had two delicious lobster/steak dinners, spent a day at Chankanaab Park and still had enough credits left over to get photos of our trip as well. Great value!

If you are looking for long walks on the beach this resort is not the right one for you. However we did spend a day at the Palace in Playa del Carmen (beautiful)- just a short 35 ferry ride away. (I would advise to skip the presentation where they push you to purchase a time share - this turned into 2 1/2 hours). The beach here is beautiful though and we had a nice lunch before returning to Cozumel. We also spent a day at Chankanaab Park which had a lovely beach so we did get our beach 'fix'.

All in all a lovely stay. Would definately recommend it and will return one day!

Room Tip: Concierge level on upper floor was great.

I stayed at the Palace as both an overnight guest and as a 'day passer' - they staff goes beyond great service, always a friendly face and they put in the extra effort to get to know you and your family.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom loft room for our overnight stay and it was fantastic, great views of the ocean, very comfortable bed and the toiletries were all Bio Silk products. Mini bar in the room was a great feature and both fridges in the room were stocked to the brim.

The location is great, its a quick 10 minutes to the airport and there is a 'Wal-Mart' type store right across the road for anything you forgot.

There is a paramedic on site at all times which worked out great for us, one of the travelers developed an ear infection and within literally 15 minutes of talking with the paramedic a doctor was onsite. (Doctor visit cost $85 American which was well worth it)

We rented a house for the rest of our stay but used the day pass option ($90American) for our last day in Cozumel as our flight wasn’t leaving until 9pm - we checked our bags, ate to our hearts content and were even given a courtesy room to shower in with our day pass.

All and all a 4star All inclusive

I've been to most of the Palace Properties and the week I spent at the Cozumel Palace was one of my best. The staff are very friendly and do everything to make your vacation special. Food, booze and the staff are top notch. I will return!

Cozumel Palace is over the top customer service. Everyone is super nice, eager to please! It was the best vacation we have ever taken as a family. It was a cozy resort with great music, wonderful entertainment at night, food was fabulous and it was really nice to jump in the water off the dock. THey have many things to do in the area right outside the front door. Dolphins and stingrays to the right, shopping to the left. Car rentals are on the property. My daughters 17 and 15 and I rented a jeep for the day and drove around the island with no fear at all. THis part of Mexico is safe. We almost didn't go because we weren't sure if we would be in danger. It's safe, and the locals are really wonderful people. THere are 2 large walmart type of stores across the street and down the street to the left. If you need anything, they will have it.
,If you like to work out, running outside is a good choice. There are 3 treadmills, free weights up to about 65 pounds, and leg machine, pull down machine and a chest machine. Limited, but if you are commited you can get a workout in.
A special thanks to Manuel, Fili, Julieta, Maria, Rene for making our mornings so special. And to Daniel, you are a gem! Hari and Lorenzo, thank you for being so nice to us all day long at the pool . We miss all of you so much and feel blessed to have met you all. You made our vacation extra special! We will be back asap! xo!

I always do research on our resort options as I did before this trip, I expected this to be a great vacation and wasn't let down.

Right at the beginning of the trip the staff set the bar high and consistently raised it with service we couldn't get over. The people are beyond great.

Out at the pool Heri was the best, he was always there with whatever we needed and seemed genuinely happy to be helping us.

At the swim up bar Fredi was the man, the inside restaurant was terrific too, Julietta is the hostess, awesome, Teodoro was great and Manuel was always making sure things were the way everyone wants it, all were extremely friendly and knew us by name.

The entertainment staff is incredible, Manuela, Danny and Gabriel were so much fun and made the shows and daily activities great.

The rooms are awesome, sunsets the absolute best almost every day, great snorkeling right of the dock, the trips with resort credits were a nice bonus.

Food, anything you want, out of this world good, the chef, I wish I remembered his name, came and saw me at the pool, he was awesome as well.

All in all this was the best vacation summed up by our 2 boys, the first day we were there our 11 yr old said "the service is almost too good, someone is always asking if I want something else" and our 13 yrs old said as we were leaving "I know the answer is probably no but would it be possible to come back for April vacation?"

Don't we wish it were that easy!!

Room Tip: Upgrade to a loft suite if you are traveling with kids, unreal. Swimming with the dolphins on a t...
