We stayed in Ramada early December 2015, twice. First 3 days, then week later 2 days. Initially we got room on the top floor (I think 4th) on the left side from the elevator, at the back. We couldn't sleep, because there was constant noise from some air conditioner air duct right behind our room. Next day we changed the room to lower floor and we were happy. The rooms facing the street are also noisy, especially on Friday and Saturday, as the club across the street plays loud music whole night long until morning.
But the rooms on the other side of the hotel are quiet. Once we got the room there, we were very satisfied. The personnel was always polite and helpful, rooms were clean, everything was alright. With that previous caveat - I would recommend the Ramada, and we will stay there again next time.

Room Tip: Not the top floor left side from the elevator

We stayed there for one night upon arriving in Mexico and before touring the Yucatan peninsula. The hotel is very clean, probably newly renovated, easy to find, and with many dining options nearby. These dining options mean that there is some noise comng from the street early at night... The breakfast is ok: good selection of continental and mexican food.

The rooms were quiet, relatively clean for a hotel room, roomy, quite modern, great location, good a/c and has a beautiful shower!
Staff seemed very good too.
So...we read reviews about the beds being hard - and they were :S
Due to another irrelevant circumstance, we moved rooms after being in another room for one night...and both rooms had hard beds.
Loved the shuttle to the beach & back! That was a great bonus. Beach club was very nice: great staff, great chairs, towels, umbrellas.

Room Tip: The pool rooms are very nice!

Things we liked about the hotel:
-Clean
-Good location in town: close to the bus station, restaurants and shops
-Staff were nice and most spoke English
-Breakfast buffet was great
-Pool area was shady which was a nice break from the direct sun
-Price was fair.

Things we didn't like so much:
-No sound barrier between walls. I could hear everything in the hallway, when the neighbouring room turned on their TV, and even the beeps from the air conditioner when it turned on/off. The staff get started pretty early and communicate with radios - this wasn't the best wake-up call every morning.
-The wifi was decent, but we had difficulty connecting a few times.
-The bar across the street plays dance music REALLY loudly until 6AM (!!!!!!) on Saturday nights. Please see above note about no sound barriers. If I were to stay here again, I would honestly only stay Sunday - Thursday.
-The bed is really firm. I was okay with this, but my husband didn't like it.

Things to know if you stay here:
-The gym is decent, but doesn't have really heavy weights if that's what you're looking for. My husband found a great gym down the street for only a 40 peso drop-in.
-Do not flush toilet paper down the toilet - it should go in the garbage next to the toilet.
-Housekeeping will move your stuff to clean under it. This surprised me since they're actually not allowed to up here in Canada.
-The restaurant bills include a 16% tip. My husband paid, so I can't be sure how clear it was on the bill since I didn't see them. When we checked out, we found out that we had double-tipped.

Room Tip: Bring ear plugs. Beware of Saturday night.

The hotel feels like an institution. Not sure what 'design' concept they're going for - minimalist or cheap. The hallways are very echoey which reverberates directly into the room. Spent the morning listening to the guy in next room do his bathroom business. There's no fridge in room probably to enforce their policy of no food or alcohol allowed in the rooms. Who does that? The room was clean. But the bed and pillow hard as rock, but I hear that this might be common in Mexico.
