Description: Locanda Paolo, Italian Fusion Ristorante. We are a family run restaurant that just celebrated its 20th Anniversary. Proud to be a Downtown Restaurant.. we provide service to both locals and turists. The experience of visiting Locanda Paolo is never the same. Owners are on site and greet, serve, recommend and cook for you. We are a small and discreet restaurant. We like keeping it like that!! Let Paolo and Rafa help you personalize your own meal. "Food for the soul made with the Heart" a classy yet traditional Italian dinner.

“terrible dining experience”
Reviewed 7 March 2012

Hopefully nothing goes wrong when you dine here because it seems as though the big boss does not take kindly when you inform him that the meal was incorrectly served , which In this case, was once for my wife and twice for me. It was also quite apparent that he and his nephew, who is second in command, stayed clear of our table once the issues began. It could only be classified as a poor dining experience without an apology or some other small consideration for our aggravation. Certainly not worth the trip to downtown or the large prices associated with dining there.

“Superb Italian restaurant”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

We've been coming to Locanda Paolo for many years and it's been getting better with each year. Excellent fresh seafood, served with gusto. Great specials.
Located a bit out of the hotel zone, getting there is no big deal and well worth the trip

“Best Food in Cancun and they make Anything you Want!”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

We have been visiting Cancun for over 30 years. If there is only one restaurant we MUST
EAT AT each year, it is Paolo's. Why? First, the flavor of the food is terrific; Second,
they have an extensive menu but if you want to substitute an item or add an item, or
just request something you like, they always accomodate us; Third, the bread on the
table is fresh, a nice variety, & delicious; Fourth, the decor is upscale but not pretentious
and very warm feeling, and last but not least, Paolo, the owner, along with his nephew, Albert, are there to take your order, make recommendations, and treat you special.
The restaurant is located just into downtown from the Hotel Zone - easy to get to
by car, bus, or taxi.
I have not written a Review before this time because I don't want Paolo's to become so
popular with "new customers" that it is hard to get reservations when we visit Cancun.
But, since we ate there twice last week and won't be back for another year, you can
enjoy the food, atmosphere, and Paolo & Albert till we return next February.
You will thank me.

“Maybe the best in Cancun”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

Atmosphere, service, food wonderfull. Menu is all you could ask for, but try the Italian sausage for an appetizer (it's not on the menu). Paolo will make you anything you want. Staff never changes.

“First Choice”
Reviewed 15 February 2012

Staying in Cancun for two weeks and wanted a 'Special ' place for Valentines. Hotel suggest another restaurant and they were full. This was their second choice . . . and it should be your first. Outstanding !! Greeted by friendly helpful staff and then by the owner Paolo. He chatted with us for 5 minutes and then went to greet others. Drink orders taken and then Albert came to explain the specials, for about 5 minutes ensuring we knew that he would tweak any selection to meet our tastes. The menu is varied and excellent. I wanted everything. Paolo and Albert came by numerous times to check that we were happy. Paolo delivered roses personally to all the ladies in the restaurant, even the children. We felt we were dining with family. Food prices are reasonable but felt the wine list was a tad pricey. We left stuffed and more than satisfied.
