Margaret is a first-rate hostess--very kind, attentive, yet discreet--and always delivers breakfast, which we ate on the patio, with a lovely smile. As others have said, Margaret offers one room with its own entrance off the private patio/garden that you see in the photos. The bathroom is adjacent to the room and requires a very short walk outside along a covered walkway. Everything was comfortable and Margaret made it more so by putting a heater into the bathroom on the colder nights of our 16-day stay.
On learning that we wanted to take Spanish lessons, Margaret introduced us to Paco who became our Spanish tutor for the month in San Cristóbal. This couldn't have worked better for us. Paco came every day and we each had a lesson with him--either on the patio or in our room where there was a heater. There is a laundry right around the corner from Margaret's house--very convenient for a long stay. And when I chose to wash some clothes by hand, there was plenty of space to lay them out on the patio where they dried quickly in the sun. We felt very comfortable at Margaret's. She had just installed a new router for better wifi service and, when we discovered on day 1 that there were still a few glitches to work through, Margaret was diligent in making that happen. Wifi reception was terrific for the rest of our stay. As other reviewers have stated, Margaret knows San Cristobal well. She provides her perspective on restaurants and sights to see as well as connections to drivers for tours outside the city.
